When you’re a busy mom, time is at a premium, and you need innovative solutions for every problem. If you have a challenge in mind that tech can possibly solve, there’s probably already a product out there for it. Here are six ideas.
1. A great fitness tracker
Moms tend to have a particularly hard time finding a little room in their jam-packed schedules to work out. This is the fitness tracker I have. A smart fitness tracker may be the best way to get moving. These devices are a great way to help you see how you are already doing reasonably well just running around and going about your chores each day. Having a tracker tell you how far you’ve walked all day can motivate you to want to do even better.

2. Fitness for your child
The Fisher-Price Think & Learn Smart Cycle is a stationary exercise cycle for kids up to 6 years of age. For a kid who needs to get exercise and won’t leave the television, it’s a great way to go. This attractive appliance can be useful on ordinary days, and even better on rainy days when your kids don’t know what to do. The better occupied your children are, the more time you have.
3. A call recorder app for the phone
While everyone should have a call recorder on their phone, ultra-busy moms are especially likely to find them useful. When you have children tugging at your sleeve when you’re in the middle of an important call, you’re likely to miss a few details. When you know that a product like Apalon’s Call Recorder has your back, however, you never need worry. You can always go back and review what was said (learn more).
4. A Wi-Fi-enabled slow cooker
A slow cooker is a great idea when you’re busy and have no time to stand around in the kitchen. A Wi-Fi-enabled slow cooker is even better. Black & Decker has a model at a little over $50. When you’re away at work while your slow cooker does its thing, you get to look in through the app and change those settings however you want.

5. A smart speaker
Smart Bluetooth speakers have been all the rage ever since Amazon’s Echo came on the market. Google now has its own product in the form of Google Home. With intelligent far-field microphones built in, it understands you when you talk to it from anywhere in the room. You can yell at it to turn off the television if your kids have had too much, order from the internet and so on. It can be a very useful thing to have around the house.

6. A robot vacuum
A robotic vacuum that you turn on and forget can be a great convenience when you’re a busy mom. It maps out the whole house on its own and makes sure that it covers every nook that it can get into. When it is low on power, it goes back to its charging station and plugs itself in. It may be a bit of an indulgence at $600, but it’s worth it if you like being able to come home knowing everything is clean. I’ve seen a robotic mop in action, too. It’s pretty amazing!
Being a mom is hard work. A little digital help can never hurt.
