Most men on choosing the right watch might be difficult because there are too many designs and brands to choose from. The ideal watch is different from person to person, depending on the design and quality of the watch. These are the simple guide on how to select the right watch for you.

The first step in choosing the right watch is to choose the right size. When choosing the right watch, there is one thing that you might consider in mind – proportion.

Proportion is the key to selecting the right watch that will compliment your style that will not look weird on your look. If your face is small and has an average body, you might want to choose the timepiece that has a small face.

For the general of selecting a watch, it is better to choose a watch that face is a diameter of 35mm to 50mm. If it is too big for your wrist, it will look garnish. if it is too small, you will look like a lady’s timepiece. Choosing the right size will benefit your style.

Consider the Materials

  • Battery watch – are the least luxurious and also the cheapest. Battery watch is the only source of power for the watch.
  • Quartz watch – is slightly expensive than battery watch. Quartz movement runs by a battery that sent to quartz on the inside of the watch.
  • Mechanical watch – relies on two movements which are automatic and manual. A mechanical watch doesn’t need a battery as it relies on the movement of the wearer to function.

Watch Complication

The purpose of wearing a watch is to look for the time. Some watches come with a feature of showing the date and even have a compass. These extra that put on watches are called complications.

There is also an extra feature called chronograph. It is a separated system that serves as a stopwatch. On the side of the watches, you usually find two buttons start and stop the chronograph.

Some watches not only have chronographs but also paired with tachymeter. With paired function, it can calculate things like speed, fuel consumption, and distance travel which is not part of the clock system.

Although some people preferred watches that have additional features, it is better to choose a watch that is simple but elegant.

Consider Your Budget

There are many watches available on the market. Some are affordable and some are pricey due to the brand of the watch. You also need to consider your budget on choosing the right watch.

Having a nice wristwatch that can reflect your personality and style should not hurt your money and budget. Even if you bought a cheap watch that suits your style is considered a win-win situation for you.
