We all dread chores. If cleaning the floors are on your list, you’ll want to know about this easy trick.

When you think of essential cleaning items for the household, a mop and bucket generally come to mind. The traditional mop received its patent in 1893, courtesy of Thomas Steward and has been used in homes across the world ever since.

While mops have provided tremendous value to people for over one century, some people believe mops merely move dirt around the floor after a while. The constant wringing of the mop is another feature people have grown tired of, but luckily, new devices have been created to alleviate these struggles.

As you enter the homes of your loved one, you will now likely see mops which plug into any standard outlet.

Introducing the Spray Mop

Aside from the mop and bucket loyalists, spray mops have become the go-to item for cleaning floors inside of a home. When holding one of these devices, it is akin to gripping a lightweight vacuum designed for hardwood floors.

They typically come with microfiber pads which are both interchangeable and machine-washable. Regardless of how dirty these pads get after one use, they last for a few months before you need to purchase more.

If someone must choose between using a spray mop or traditional mop and bucket combo, they will most likely select the convenience of the spray mop.

Covering Large Areas

Using a mop and bucket for a large surface area can take hours because the water continually needs to be changed. This time does not even factor in sweeping the entire area beforehand either.

While you will be required to sweep before using a spray mop, you will be able to cut back on your mopping time tremendously with one of these devices. Since spray mops typically come with liquid cartridges, you merely spray the liquid on the floor and go over the area with the micro-fiber pad.

Constant trips to the sink will become a thing of the past, and you can go back to enjoying the rest of your weekend much faster.

Ensuring Clean Floors

Depending on the type of spray mop you possess, it is possible to add substances such as white vinegar to the mix to make sure your floors are spotless.

Also, specific spray mops come with steam functionality to warm up the surfaces before cleaning deeply. Certain stains are almost impossible to clean up by hand. However, spray mops are useful household gadgets for cleaning spots people may have given up on over time.
