Are you looking for a super easy guide to wearable fashion that you can put together in minutes? Here’s your lazy mom guide to fashion in less than 10 steps.
When you have children to take care of, work to deal with, and a thousand errands to run, the last thing you want to waste your time on is deciding what to wear.
Sure, all of the these things are important, but you can’t go through life looking half done just because you are managing all of these things.
It is possible to look good, without making much of an effort – you only need to learn and master a few tricks. Then you will looking good in no time. Here are some tricks for looking effortlessly stylish:
Go bold: The easiest way to look bold and stylish without making an effort is by investing in statement pieces in your wardrobe. You can wear these pieces without having to accessorize and you can keep the rest of your look simple. Go for statement pieces such as these Camilla designer tops or find a statement dress.
Blouses: When you are busy with children and pressed for time, you just want to get dressed and go, but throwing a T-shirt on will only make you look frumpy. Wearing a blouse, rather than a T-shirt is a great way to get out of the house quickly but still look incredibly put-together and ready to bring the right kind of attention to yourself.
Skinnies: Running around in sweats is like wearing pajamas all day. Comfortable? Sure! But sloppy, rather than stylish, is how you will come across. Instead of sweats, invest in good stretchy skinny pants or stretchy dark denim that will make you look more polished and you will still feel comfortable.
Go for the dress: Often, you think of wearing dresses on date night, but they are incredibly easy to wear and go, anytime. Invest in ones that fit your body well and you will see how comfortable dresses can be for any day.
Head covers: When you are running errands in cold weather, you want to wrap up. Knitted shawls are great, but they can sometimes be too bulky, impractical, or too casual. Rather than shawls, go for snoods to look chic and still feel warm.
Flats: Heels may be impractical for your lifestyle, but that does not mean you have to wear sneakers. Go for pointy flats or lace-ups to look stylish and still feel comfortable.
Make a statement: A quick trick to looking incredibly trendy in no time is by pairing basic tops in solid colors (such as black or cream) with a bold and unique necklace as your statement piece.
Knitwear: When it comes to cozy tops, opt for body hugging knitwear instead of over sized shirts. They add bulk in all the wrong places and make you appear larger than you really are.
Statement coat: You should look incredible even if you are running one quick errand and then going back home. When this is the case, wear your statement coat, so you can be the showstopper, even if you are wearing a stained top underneath.
There you have it! You likely have some of these pieces in your closet right now. Just spend some time looking through what you have on the weekend and pull together a few looks to try during the week. As you get more and more practice, you’re bound to start putting these looks together with no effort!
