Learn my favorite easy trick to prevent shrinking and fading laundry.
Two of my biggest laundry concerns behind stain removal are shrinkage and fading. Who wants to buy something that fits perfectly only to have it shrink while simply trying to clean it? Or you have the perfect new pair of black jeans that become gray jeans after washing them.
Some of the most vulnerable pieces are dark colors (especially black), denim, and sweaters.
Introducing Dryel
Does Dryel shrink clothes?
No. That’s what’s so special about the Dryel At-Home Dry Cleaning process. The Fabric Protection Bag, patented cleaning chemicals, and the controlled heat of your dryer work together to safely and effectively clean your clothes without shrinking. Dryel is even safe for materials like wool and cashmere. (Source)
Does Dryel fade clothes?
Typically, warm water and the agitation of the washing machine can cause clothing colors to fade. Because there is no water involved, Dryel does not fade your clothes.
Does Dryel work on sweaters?
Because there is no water involved, Dryel will not shrink or fade your clothes. Why do sweaters shrink in the laundry?
it’s likely that your laundry is getting too hot. Washing clothes in hot water (or drying them using hot air) shrinks the fabric. Although fibers of polymer are naturally short, they are stretched out when made into clothes. Applying any kind of heat releases that tension, making the fibers return to their natural (and shorter!) state. (Source)
They did not
The bottom line: Dryel won’t stretch, shrink, or fade denim or sweaters.
