by RAKI WRIGHT

Having a clogged drain in the sink, toilet, tub or shower, is a common problem in the entire household. This is the time we look for the drain cleaner.

Normally we use plungers, handheld drain augers, airburst drain cleaners, and chemical drain cleaners. Generally, the above drain cleaner will clear soft obstruction such as hair and grease. If not, we will call the plumber to fix it. Plumbers are mainly taking care of drain cleaning and hygiene. But finding a professional plumber is a big task.

Now there are many service agents are specifically working for drain cleaning. The services mainly include

  • drain unclogging,
  • drain repairs,
  • water service replacement,
  • waterproofing
  • wet basement repair.

Now new technology has come up, where digging and breaking are not necessary. Plumbing is the most important aspect while constructing a house. Waste removal and potable water delivery is the main concept. Proper pipes, valves, plumbing fixtures and tanks, apart from this waste flowing outlet makes free from unhygienic. If these are not proper, we should look for a different type of cleaner. There are many times cleaner are available in the market. Each has its own advantage and disadvantage. Safety measure is very important before using it. We can use it according to the percentage of drain clog. Chemical drain cleaners are used only by the licensed plumber; this might be acidic or alkaline. Alkaline drain openers contain sodium hydroxide or potassium hydroxide. The chemical reaction dissolves hair and fat which accumulate inside the pipe. Acidic drain openers high concentrated sulfuric acid. This is dangerous as it causes health hazardous. The advantage of chemical drain cleaner is easily available in all retail stores, but the disadvantage is lack of effectiveness. Only the surface or topmost layer of the clog will be cleared.

In Canada, there are many Drain cleaning services. But who gives better service and to whom to rely upon is the big question. Homeowners are taken granted as it is very tough to find the best services. Most of all the building might be private or public have an indoor bathroom, toilets and plumbing. We should look for the experience and licensed plumbers. Only professionals can handle this. They can understand and recognize the exact problem. They are well trained in new draining systems, cleaning clogged drains, water service pipes and help us to do work without making any damage to the building. We should use only licensed, bonded and insured plumbers. The right knowledge and tools will save time as well as money. Frequently cleaning of the drain is the best way out. Clogging can happen at any time without our knowledge. Many factors which end with drain clogging. The kitchen sinks always struck with fatty food and detergent. As we use most of this, there are high chances of drain clog. And the next one is the bathroom sink. The ration again depends on the number of users. As the number increases the chances of clogging is high.
