WHAT’S ON COMET TV – June 2018
YOU DON’T NEED A SUBSCRIPTION TO WATCH THESE GREAT MOVIES…THEY’RE AIRING FOR FREE ON COMET!
FRIDAY NIGHT FEATURE: Scary Movie
Defying the very notion of good taste, Scary Movie out-parodies the pop culture parodies with a no-holds barred assault on the most popular images and talked-about moments from recent films, television and commercials. The film boldly fires barbs at the classic scenes from “Scream,” “The Sixth Sense,” “The Matrix,” “I Know What You Did Last Summer” and “The Blair Witch Project,” then goes on to mock a whole myriad of teen movie clichés, no matter the genre.
Friday, June 15 at 8pm EST/PST, 7pm CST, and 9pm MST.
CULT CLASSIC THEATER:
A drive-in favorite, this sci-fi classic follows teenagers Steve (Steven McQueen) and his best girl, Jane (Aneta Corseaut), as they try to protect their hometown from a gelatinous alien life form that engulfs everything it touches. The first to discover the substance and live to tell about it, Steve and Jane witness the blob destroying an elderly man and grow to a terrifying size. But no one else has seen the goo, and policeman Dave (Earl Rowe) refuses to believe the kids without proof.
Saturday, June 16 at 2pm EST/PST, 1pm CST, and 3pm MST.
It! The Terror From Beyond Space
It’s the future — 1973 — and a rescue team is sent to fetch Col. Edward Carruthers (Marshall Thompson), the lone survivor of the first manned flight to Mars. Though he’s slated for the firing squad after ostensibly murdering his entire crew, he insists that a Martian monster is to blame for the deaths. Cmdr. Van Heusen (Kim Spalding) and the team doubt Carruthers’ claims, until more mysterious killings occur. To their horror, they realize the bloodthirsty beast is on board the ship with them.
Saturday, June 16 at 4pm EST/PST, 3pm CST, and 5 pm MST.
OUTER LIMITS
Controlling “all that you see and hear” THE OUTER LIMITS exposes the threats of dark and alien forces. Strap in for two hours of both classic and “new” episodes of this iconic science fiction series. Starring such acting greats as Leonard Nimoy, William Shatner, Adam West and Martin Sheen.
THE OUTER LIMITS takes control every weeknight at midnight/11c.
ANDROMEDA
Join High Guard Captain Dylan Hunt (Kevin Sorbo) and crew of the Andromeda Ascendant as they work to rebuild the Systems Commonwealth and bring unity back to the known universe.
ANDROMEDA sails every weeknight at 10/9c with an encore the next weekday at 2/1c.
MYSTERY SCIENCE THEATER 3000
The COMET fans have spoken! New classic episodes of MST3K have returned!
Forced by evil scientists to watch bad “B” movies until he breaks, a host (Joel in the early years, Mike later in the show’s run) and a bunch of captive robots comment on the films in order to keep sane. During each movie, the host and robots perform skits or songs, known as host segments, that are usually related to that episode’s film.
Watch MYSTERY SCIENCE THEATER 3000 Sunday nights at 8/7c.
