Many industry sectors have stopped relying on doing manual work in their offices and turned instead, towards a more modern and innovative solution – that of using the right technologies and software.

Depending on staff members to complete tasks and projects that should ideally be taking half the time, is no longer an issue for many companies as they embrace change and find better ways of dealing with an upsurge of work or large client projects without having to stress over a shortage of skills or staff off sick or on leave.

They act as the middle-man between you, as the employer, and the candidate i.e. the potential employee (or applicant). 

The simple steps involved when working with them is, that the employer contacts the agency, to ask them for help. The agency then gets all the relevant information from the hiring manager, and places an advertisement on a job board or social media platform, sometimes if they already have a contact list of potential candidates on their database, they reach out to them to see if they are available for an interview.

If not, they vet potentials that have applied to the advertisement and find out more about their experience, educational background, skills, and if they are an overall good fit for the position. 

If this is the case they then arrange for the hiring manager and candidate to have an initial chat or an interview, after which the employer will make the final decisions and the agency will take care of the rest i.e. any paperwork involved and information that the soon-to-be-employer needs to know. 

At the end of the day, if the recruiter does not place the candidate in a job, he or she does not get their commission and the overall business doesn’t have a chance of improving its bottom line, which is what most strive for – a return of investment or profits.

All these steps, then, as you can imagine, take time. Doing them manually with not only take twice as long as an automation program will, but you may also miss out on the right people for the job.
