Over the past decade, the population in Florida has been drastically increasing. In fact, Florida is currently the third most populated state, following Texas as Number Two and California as Number One.

You might be wondering, what makes Florida so popular? Is it worth all the hype? Better yet, is it worth packing up and moving to? Below are just some of the many benefits of this southeastern state.

  • Lovely Beaches

One of the biggest benefits, and one of the most common things it’s known for, of living in Florida is getting access to its incredible beaches. Unlike beaches on the west coast, Florida beaches offer clear, consistently warm water and white sand.

  • Variety of Wildlife

While it’s true that Florida is known for its mosquitoes and alligators, its variety of other wildlife makes up for it. Adorable beavers, deer, otters, and manatees are also found in this state. If hunting or fishing is your thing, Florida is a great place for you to do it.

  • Warm Weather

Many folks who move to Florida from out of state often do so mainly because of the warm weather. Living in Florida, you have frequent access to sunshine and have less to worry about blizzards, shoveling snow from your driveway, and icy roads.

  • Sports Fans-Friendly

Florida is home to many professional sports teams including the Miami Dolphins, Florida Panthers, and Tampa Bay Devils. This state is also ideal for personal sports playing as well. Golf, racing, fishing, baseball, and football are all common sports casually practiced in the state.

  • Theme Parks

Who doesn’t love visiting a theme park? Disney World, Epcot, Universal Orlando, and Seaworld are all great options available than those in other states have to drive long distances to or fly to in order to visit.

  • Lack of State Income Tax

Florida is one of the few states that doesn’t have an income tax. Yes, really! This is ideal for business owners and those who are in higher income brackets.

  • Nice Housing

While housing tends to be pricier in south Florida, you can typically get a good bang for your buck in other parts of Florida. Apart from ideal prices, housing in Florida comes in so many different styles. Surely, there’s something to please every resident or future resident.

  • Great Education Opportunities

Not every state has the luxury of having a good education system. Rest assured that Florida does, in fact, have a great system with fantastic school districts, a wide variety of both public and private schools, along with great universities & community colleges.

The beautiful state of Florida surely has a lot to offer. From great beaches and wildlife to many forms of entertainment including theme parks, living in Florida can be grand. Making the move to the Sunshine State might just be the best thing you do for yourself and a decision you may far from regret.
