Houston attracts people for all kinds of things. The food here is probably the most diverse you’d ever find in all of America. The museums are awe-inspiring and perfect for a date. Moreover, festivals and live shows are happening all year round.

An added bonus of booking a holiday in Houston is that you can catch a direct flight to it from anywhere in America. Also, if you’re planning a family vacation, you can visit these places in Houston with kids.

We’ve looked at the best locations and compiled a list of 5 places to visit in Houston that will make your holiday memorable. Read on ahead to find out more.

1. Houston Space Center

The most well-known attraction of Houston city is its space center. This is the best place to visit if you or your kids are interested in astronomy and dream of joining the likes of NASA.

The space center is spread out across a vast area. You can view replicas of real-life space shuttles and aircraft. A replica of America’s first space station is also placed there.

If you’re interested, you can touch a rock from the moon. And, if you’re lucky, you might be able to meet a real-life astronomer on Fridays.

All information about NASA’s new ventures will be available here. You’ll be learning all about the mission to mars.

2. Miller Outdoor Theater

Miller Outdoor Theater is named after mining engineer Jesse Wright Miller. Here, you can find all the sophisticated and mesmerizing shows, including Shakespeare, jazz, and ballet.

At MOT, you can treat your ears to a concert, watch theatrical performances, enjoy classical movies, or become a part of cultural activities.

A plaque in the theater’s name reads, “To the Arts of Music, Poetry, Drama, and Oratory, by which the striving spirit of man seeks to interpret the words of God. This theater of the City of Houston is permanently dedicated.”

Around 5000 people can picnic under the sky on the sloping hill of MOT. Its atmosphere provides an experience like no other.

3. Museum Of Fine Arts

This museum is architecturally a masterpiece of neoclassical art. Claude Monet’s beautiful lilies and Picasso’s puzzling portraits, among others, attract a lot of young people who are interested in the arts. Undoubtedly, this is among the best museums in all of America.

Name any era of any continent. You’d most likely be able to find artwork from there among the 62,000 artworks currently housed by the museum.

There’s a Japanese sculpture garden that you cannot miss. as well as Scandinavian, African, and Asian pieces of art.

All these pieces are laid across two buildings connected by a special tunnel. The tunnel is an art of work in itself.

4. The Downtown Aquarium

The Downtown Aquarium is a fantastic spot to take the whole family for an enjoyable day out in Houston. There is so much to discover there.

You will find attractions such as the Sunken Temple, the Shipwreck, and the Stingray Reef here.

Want to escape the aquarium’s dim enclosure? Downtown Aquarium also has a carnival section.

There are both kids- and adult-friendly rides included in this.

Lighthouse Dive, a fast swashbuckling adventure, ought to do the job whenever you want an adrenaline rush.

5. Buffalo Bayou Park

The most precious environmental asset in Houston is Buffalo Bayou. It’s a large body of water that moves slowly through Houston, Tx, in Harris County. It originated 18,000 years back.

You can watch people riding their bikes and wandering on foot on the pathways here. It is the perfect place to lean your head back and relax away from the rat race of the city.

All level skateboarders are allowed, and all public access to the site is free. Although, Headgear may be necessary.

Additionally, there is currently a variety of one- to three-hour-long sightseeing tours of the region that you can choose from.

Summary

There’s no place like Houston. It is bustling with events and locations that fit everyone’s needs. Here you can enjoy outdoor activities, themed locations, science and art Museums, and much more. If you have a friend who is hard to impress, bringing them to Houston is a good idea.
