If you’ve decided to host a party outdoors and you’re worried about what a tent party would look like, you can breathe a happy sigh of relief. Tent parties are no longer the rugged and muddy events that they used to be.

Tent parties are a great way to enjoy the outdoors without falling victim to the rain, wind, bugs, etc. Tents provide a beautiful space to celebrate any event and offer great protection from inclement weather conditions.

Not every outdoor party is the same – below are the top five accessories every pro has at their tent event to help you take yours to the next level:

1. Heating Or Cooling

You may not realize this, but tents have changed drastically over the last few years. They are no longer stretched canvas over poles – they have evolved into a stylish place to host parties and weddings.

More sophisticated tent rental outlets offer HVAC systems that provide heating or cooling and offer additional ventilation. If your event coincides with a heat wave or a cold snap, you’ll want to keep your guests comfortable and happy.

Renting a tent with an HVAC system does cost more, but it will be well worth spending the extra cash to ensure that everyone has the best possible time.

2. Dance Floor

What is a celebration or party if there is no place for the guests to let their hair down and dance? A boring one! Not every party turns into a dance party, but you must accommodate the ones that will to impress your guests.

Party tent dance floors come in multiple styles, and the fancier versions can be quite the investment – but a basic dance floor won’t break the bank, and your guests will appreciate the option. Having a designated area for dancing can help to minimize accidents and injuries.

3. Lighting

Lighting is one of the most effective decorating tools that helps to set the desired mood for the event. Lighting is essential and a style statement – your guests will expect options in this department.

Ensure that you can offer at least three different types of lighting, including the ever-popular fairy or string light varieties. String lights instantly add the most magical vibe to a commercial party tent celebration.

4. Stage

Depending on the event you are hosting, you may want to consider hiring a stage with your party tent. Stages come in handy when you have a band or DJ, or plan on giving toasts. A stage area doesn’t have to take up too much space, but it does help to provide a raised area where people know to look when glasses start clinking.

5. Clear Panels

During the summer months, people love having outdoor events. Weddings, birthday celebrations, and even block parties get held outside this time of year. Being in nature, even just the backyard, is special and makes for the most setting.

None of that helps if the panels and walls of your tents are solid and the outside is left just there – outside. Ensure you invest in a tent with clear panels and walls. That will give your guests the perks of having a tent, and it won’t compromise on the perfect view.

Tent parties are great, just make sure to plan for the most likely things – that way, everyone can focus on having a good time, including you!
