Take A Look At These Incredible Caribbean Beaches

by RAKI WRIGHT

The Caribbean endears itself to vacationers for more reasons than one. It boasts spectacular scenery, wildlife, cuisine, and vibrant culture. It is also popular for those who want to vacation responsibly in a way that does not affect the environment and people who call these beautiful places home. In fact, it is relatively simple to experience ecotourism in the Caribbean islands by following a few simple steps when planning, and during, your trip.

Trip to Grand Bahama Island | OutsideTheBoxMom.com This chain of islands is also known for its picturesque beaches, long strips of white sand washed by the azure waters of the Caribbean Sea. When you visit them for the first time, you are overcome by a relaxed sensation, as if this is where you should have been a long time ago. The palm trees, water sports, beach chairs, and bar restaurants are things you can expect from most of them. Check out these beaches in the Caribbean for your next visit.

Playa Flamenco in Puerto Rico

The beautiful Playa Flamenco Beach, situated on the island of Culebra of Puerto Rico, stretches for about a mile. It is counted amongst the most beautiful beaches on the island and globally. After you arrive, the first thing you notice is the absence of palm trees and the presence of a large number of low scrubs, making it different from other beaches. Playa Flamenco is also home to The Tank, a top historical tourist attraction in Flamenco. Rusty and abandoned, it is covered with graffiti and colorful designs. If you take your privacy seriously, it is better to visit it during the weekdays since the beach is packed with vacationers during weekends.

Grande Anse Des Salines in Martinique

Head towards the village of Sainte-Anne in Martinique to visit its incredible beach: Grande Anse Des Salines. It is shaped like an arch and surrounded by rows of palm trees whose rustling leaves create playful impressions on the white sands, while the beach itself slopes gracefully toward the sea. It provides beautiful views of Diamond Rock and Martinique’s west side. Snack bars and sorbet sellers line the beach along with souvenir stores. You will find plenty of parking space too if you visit it in a car. Even though you won’t find any rental chairs, just spread out a towel and make the most of it. You might also consider visiting the mangroves situated in the southern part of the beach.

Seven Mile Beach in Negril

Imagine coming across a beach that extends almost six kilometers, with five of it meeting a bay, yet that is what awaits you at Seven Mile Beach in Negril, Jamaica. It is located close to Norman Manley Boulevard, a small town home to about 3,000 people. No sooner do you arrive than you are greeted by the sight of sunbathers enjoying a tan on their sunbeds or people taking a sip of their favorite drinks. The waters are as pure, clean, and fresh as you could expect them to be. You can even see fish, crabs, and stingrays on most days. If you love lobsters, you can enjoy a meal or two at the lobster shack lined on the beach. Seven Miles also has a fascinating history attached to it, as it was once believed to have been ruled by fearsome pirates.

Half Moon Bay Beach in Antigua

The Half Moon Bay beach is located in Saint Philip Parish in the southeastern part of Antigua. Even though the beach is narrower compared to others, you must visit it for its lovely setting, created by the turquoise waters, seclusion, mesmerizing views, and a small restaurant that’s perfect for lunch and drinks. You also have the option of renting chairs and umbrellas at the northern end of the beach.

These are some of the beaches in the Caribbean you might consider visiting if you want to have a good time. The rhythm of waves washing the shores, the feel of soft sand between your toes, lovely food, palm trees, and many other things combine to show you the true meaning of pleasure.
