An LED neon sign is a great addition to anyone’s home, but you might not know how to incorporate it into your design. While it might seem like a daunting task, it’s not as difficult as you might think. With a few simple rules, you can easily find the right neon for your home.

Here, we’ve gathered a few simple tips for choosing the right neon sign for your interior design.

Choosing a Color for Your LED Neon Sign

As the most important aspect of interior design, color is the first step to choosing your LED neon sign. The easy choice is choosing a color that matches your interior design, but what does that mean? Should you match the walls or the couch? Does your sign need to be the exact same color, or is contrast more important?

The first thing to consider is your existing color palette. If you’re starting from scratch, then it’s simply a matter of picking part of your palette and getting a sign in the same color. If you’re trying to get something that works with your existing furniture, then you need to consider which part of your furniture you’re matching.

If your home consists entirely of neutral colors, then you should consider if you want to keep with that theme or add a pop of color. If your sensibilities are more colorful, then you should ask yourself if you want to emphasize your accent colors or blend in with the more prominent colors. To add more colors, take a look at a color wheel. Try choosing a color next to your main color, or a color opposite to your main color.

Choosing a Font or Design

Once you’ve settled on a color, you’ll need to consider if you want script or an image. If you’re choosing a script sign, then you’ll need to consider what kind of font will work best. If your style is more modern, you might want to consider a sleek font with straight lines and clean separation. If your decor has more soft, flowing lines and soft edges, you’ll need a font to match.

If you’re going to choose an image, then the possibilities are endless. When considering which image you should use, take a look at your existing furniture and art prints. Consider if there are any images or patterns that would make a good neon design. Otherwise, consider what images and symbols are important to you. If you’re an avid gamer, you might consider the logo of your favorite video game. If you enjoy gardening, you could get a flower or bouquet of flowers.

Pre-Made or Custom Neon Signs?

You might be able to find a neon sign with the exact image or script you want. Choosing something unique, however, means you might need a custom neon sign. While custom LED neon might take a while longer and/or cost a little more, the effort will make your interior design stand out.

If you just can’t wait for your sign, or you need something slightly more affordable, then you can find a wide selection of designs. Whether you’re looking for a video game design or a piece of sushi, there’s no end to the designs you can find. Browsing the designs that already exist are a great springboard for inspiration if you get inspired.

Once you’re ready to commit to an LED neon sign, you can find more designs and order a custom sign with Echo Neon.
