Karina Dresses – for every-body.  Fit great, look great, easy wear, and easy care.

Disclosure:  I was provided with a Karina dress to review.  No other compensation was given.   All opinions are my own, based on my experience with the product(s).

Karina Dresses is a Brooklyn-based apparel company with a unique business model and rapidly expanding wholesale customer base of 60 plus stores across the U.S. The quality of the dresses and the company’s beauty philosophy has created a strong brand connection with their customers.

When I first heard about the Karina Dresses, I visited their website’s Best Fit tool.  There are illustrations of various body types along with descriptions to help you pick a dress style based on your body type.  I am a rectangle.  (RECTANGLE ~ hips, bust and waist are similar size.)  The dress styles that were recommended for me were RITA, MEGAN, AUDREY, CLARA, RUBY, PENELOPE.

I love that each dress has a name, based on a real woman’s name.

I picked the “Lauren” from the Fall 2013 collection, which was “named for the film goddess who gave us “The Look,” that singular blend of strength and submission that she had when gazing at Bogey in classic films.”  This dress features a boat neck, 3/4 sleeve, and full swing skirt.

As you can see below, there is a wide variety of solid colors and prints to choose from. It is encouraging to see women of all ages, ethnicities, body types, and fashion sense wear the dresses. It was even helpful to see styling ideas such as leggings, shoes, and accessories.

From the moment I opened the package, I loved it!  The fabric was very smooth and lightweight, yet high quality.  According to the care instructions, the dress can be machine washed in cool water, hung dry, with no ironing required.  This is right up my alley because I don’t do dry cleaning…or ironing. 🙂  I typically wear a Size 14, so I ordered the M/L (which fits sizes 10-14).  It fits well as the dress is cut very generously.  I love this cool animation that Google Plus created (Auto Awesome) as a result of the pictures I took of the dress, styled two different ways.

oh, Raki … if I wore dresses, which I hardly ever do, this would be a big leap of zing for me! And I think that just might be a very good thing!

    Cool animation, too!

Recently I bought a few dresses from the Karina Dresses store. The Quality of the cloth is so nice & comfortable for daily wear. At the time of my purchase, I applied Karina Dresses coupons offered by my friend from MyCoupons. By using these coupons, I got 20% off on my purchase.
