Quick and easy tutorial on setting up a coupon file, also known as a coupon folder.

There are many ways to organize coupons.  This is the third installment in a series on choosing a way that’s right for you.

Is the Coupon File Method for Me?

The first way I used to organize my coupons was with a coupon file. For my current season of life, I prefer the whole insert method as the pro’s outweigh the con’s.  As I said in the last tutorial, I have only used a coupon file and the insert method.   Here is how you would setup a coupon file for the first time.

Since I use a clipping service, I use a hybrid method. I get just the coupons I need each week and keep those in an accordion file that fits in my purse. When I did the whole insert method, it was so time consuming and I ended up buying a lot of stuff we didn’t need.

I used something like this for my coupons. Now I’ve been clipping coupons a lot less. I mainly just look at the local ads to find the best prices and buy things when they are cheap. Thanks for sharing this at Romance on a dime!!

Great way to organization coupons.. Thanks for sharing this. I used to have bargain and other deal coupons in my filing cabinet, but this looks like easy coupon organization method, and this will save me a lot of time.
