Those who have visited Hampton — the elite resort area of New York, will never forget the beauty of these stunning landscapes, the measured lifestyle of the locals and the charming interior of their houses.

You can recreate this aesthetic in your home by creating a Hamptons-style bedroom. How can this be done? In this article, we’ll walk you through the basic elements of Hampton-style bedroom decor.

Features of the Hamptons style

Pastel colors, an elegant combination of blue and white, comfortable furniture – this is the quintessence of the Hampton-style interior. Despite its apparent simplicity, it embodies luxurious sophistication, borrowing some elements from the classics.

This is great for residents who have dreamed of providing a place to live which offers extravagant lifestyles at affordable prices, like blu word city.

The Hamptons style refers primarily to summer homes, which are such a pleasure to spend a vacation in. The interior should look as natural as possible, without creating a feeling of clutter.

Of course, it is better to decorate the interior of the whole house in Hamptons style, but you can start with one room — the bedroom. This is your personal space that does not require a demonstration to guests. In addition, the style is ideal for people who wish to create the necessary atmosphere for relaxation and inspiration.

Hampton’s style decor for the bedroom — furniture that matters

The Hampton style bedroom combines elegance, lightness and functionality – the elements most conducive to maximum relaxation. The bed is the focal point of any bedroom and to match the idea of the Hampton style, it should be as comfortable and elegant as possible. The perfect solution would be a classic wooden bed or an original rattan version. An important addition to the bed is the stylish bedhead. Choose from sophisticated, upholstered bedhead upholstered in natural fabrics, or bring the natural beauty of nature into your room with a woven rattan bedhead.

Hampton style furniture is usually elegant, light-colored pieces that are perfect in their simplicity. In a Hampton-style bedroom, you cannot miss a large wardrobe; you might also want to add some small drawers or dressers. In order to complement the bed, bedside tables should be placed on both sides of it and be designed in the same style as the bed.

Hampton’s style decor for the bedroom — essential designer accessories

Hampton style cannot be reached only with comfortable and luxurious furniture, there should be many small accessories that create a cozy atmosphere of relaxation. Even though the style offers a wide variety of décor, it’s important to avoid going overboard with details.

The use of textiles can enhance the beauty of a bedroom. Think of natural fabrics, such as cotton or linen, preferably with a nautical pattern. For example, it’s impossible to imagine a Hampton-style bedroom without lots of soft pillows in pastel and nautical colors. The deep blue cushions look especially exquisite, highlighting the charming style of light furniture. The overall design will look even better if the pillows are not identical — combine several different patterns and shades. It works well with more restrained decorating and furniture.

When choosing the decor, special attention should be paid to materials: Hamptons is all about nature — it is inspired by nature and bringing it to the interior. Wicker rattan baskets, lamps with linen shades, wooden statues will be great decorations for a Hampton’s style bedroom. No bedroom would be complete without a soft carpet in light shades. Such an element of decor will make the room even cozier and warmer.

The seaside character of the interior is also emphasized by additions and decorations in a nautical style: elegant candleholders in the form of shells, glass jars and vases in a light-blue shade, abstract paintings reminiscent of seascapes.

Don’t forget about proper lighting. In addition to the lamps on the bedside tables, Hamptons style requires a luxurious chandelier that will give some bright warm light.

Find inspiration in the simplicity

It is not difficult to decorate a bedroom interior in the Hamptons style, because it has a set of specific rules and characteristics. Consider natural colours and various shades of brightness to enhance the impression of space. In order to decorate a bedroom effectively, monochrome is best — instead of flashy patterns, go with the beauty of the materials.

Place only the most essential furniture — a bed, a wardrobe and a few additional pieces of storage furniture will be enough. Keep the decor more discreet: too many details reduce space. Think statues, wood-framed paintings, mirrors, cushions, glass vases, and floral arrangements for the room.

The Hampton-style bedroom has a casual elegance that’s ideal for unwinding after a long day and getting inspired in the morning.
