Household chores can be an intimidating task for almost everyone. Yes, it is not as bad as getting a major medical procedure done, but you might want to spend your free time solving other problems. They are also a necessary evil if you don’t want a health epidemic visiting your home and community.

Getting the right gadget or tool not only speeds up the cleaning process, but it also ends up making your life easier. Here are six pieces of household equipment that can deliver on maximum efficiency when cleaning.

#1. Microfiber cloth

Microfiber cloths are environmentally friendly and can absorb over six times their weight in water. Which make them a much better option than traditional cleaning cloths. They work well for cleaning dirt hidden in crevices or hard – to – reach spots. The net-like surface of the material is excellent for trapping dirt and debris.

You don’t need to use lots of water with fibre cloth. And the best part is they are easy to maintain.

#2. Vacuum Cleaner

A good vacuum cleaner does an effortless job of keeping your home debris-free. You can choose between getting an old-fashioned vacuum cleaner or explore the various smart or robot vacuums (as some call them) that have flooded the market in recent times.

The best robot vacuums all come with features such as room mapping and are also great at clearing your space of allergens, in addition to the debris.

#3. A Squeegee

If you need to clean a window, the Squeegees are your best bet. This T-shaped piece of equipment can also be used to clean your showerheads and many other surfaces. Easy to use, they are effective at mineral development in areas with hard water deposits.

Squeegees trap any excess moisture present and also reduce the need for you to use large amounts of detergent while cleaning.

It might be advisable to buy distilled water for cleaning, as, due to the exposure to air, distilled water can calibrate the cleaning process swiftly. No matter which surface you are cleaning, distilled water will not leave any residue. Therefore, distilled water is best for cleaning any surface, as it increases the water cleaning features.

#4. Wood and Leather Cleaners

One of the biggest flaws most homeowners make is to use cloth and water to clean the wood and leather surfaces. This is the fastest way to shorten the lifespan of your wooden or leather furniture. To get the best out of your furniture, you need cleaning solutions that clean, condition and shine the leather or wood.

Most of these solutions are usually oil-based and can restore the natural sheen of your leather or wood if used regularly.

#5. Dusting Gloves

Frequent dusting is the fastest way to reduce the occurrence of allergies in your home. While this is one battle you never completely win, you should at least try with a tool designed to conquer dust. The dusting glove – usually made from microfiber material – is easy to use.

Simply pull it on and run it through the pieces of furniture you planned to dust. The microfiber gathers the dust without dispersing it into the air, and you can drop it for laundry ahead of its next use.

#6. Spray Bottles

Spray bottles are the ultimate jack-of-all-trades tool. They can help with rinsing, application of cleaning solutions or act as storage for bulk breaking. You can also use them to store any home-made cleaning solutions you might have cobbled together.

Final Thoughts

Cleaning can take hours – and you don’t want to be caught up in that loop every now and then. These six pieces of household equipment are not exactly complex, but they play a major role in helping you sort out your cleaning blues as fast as possible. Cleaning can be fun and fast once you use the right equipment.
