Skating centers and fun things to do in the summer go hand in hand. I share four inexpensive ways your kids can enjoy skating this summer.
Utilize Day of the Week Specials
One of our local skate centers offers $1.99 admission, skate rentals, add-on activities, and meals on Monday and Thursday nights. Admission is reduced from $6 to $1.99, skate rental from $3 to $1.99, and the meal deal is reduced by at least 50% to $1.99. Another center offers a $5 deal which includes admission, skate rental, and access to their activity center.
Check Their Website for Promotions & Special Offers
I found these deals on their websites. Another center offers a family fun pack which includes 5 admissions, 5 skate rentals, funzone admission, 1 large pizza, and 1 pitcher of drink for $35. This is an average for $7 per person, all-inclusive.
Go On Holidays or During School Breaks
One of our local skate centers offers summer passes for $49. This includes skating, skate rental, and the play zone. It’s good for up to 10 visits during the entire summer, during certain hours, for an average of $4.90 per visit. Without the pass, it would cost $6 for skating, $6 for the play zone, and $3 for skate rental – for a total of $15 per visit. That’s over 67% savings!
Sign Up For Their Email Club
Before each holiday and during school breaks, we receive emails keeping us aware of the specials offered. Sometimes these offers are different from the posted website specials. It’s a nice reward to plan some special outings in our schedule or to have some rewards to offer the kids for good behavior, grades, or fun. Deals delivered straight to your inbox. Score!
Be Selective About Purchases
Eat lunch or dinner beforehand. Then, pick your favorite snacks. My kids like to get a small box of candy, slushy, or pretzel. I give them a small budget get snacks and that’s it. You may allow the kids to each pick one treat. Bring drinks such as frozen 1/2 frozen bottles of water or juice with you, if allowed.
