Long workdays mean little time for cooking, as a working mom there is hardly any time to prepare and cook your meals on a daily basis.

Ready to get your family fed faster? Believe it or not, you don't have to cook elaborate meals every night of the week. If you're looking for quick cooking tips that will help any working mom get dinner on the table faster, these 5 easy tips will help you make the most of your time and get prepared in just a few minutes a day.

When it comes to your weekends, you surely don’t want to spend all of your time off preparing and cooking either. There’s no need to stress any longer though because these cooking tips for working moms will make everything a lot more simple, quick and easy.

Organize

Organization makes everything easier in life many working moms have planners and organizers to stay on top of everything else in their busy lives, so why not use that organization for cooking.

You can set this up however you want but for an example take a folder and section it into different categories such as your favorite recipes, recipes you’d like to try, and easy recipes.

Then make a special slot for the week ahead and fill it with the recipes you’ll be cooking that week, this way you’ll already have in mind what you’ll be cooking, how much time it’ll take, etc.

Befriend the Slow Cooker

A slow cooker is every body’s best friend these days, especially working moms! So if you haven’t befriended your slow cooker yet it’s time.

There are many reasons as to why slow cookers are the best thing ever invented but the main reasons are they allow you to cook delicious meals that take very little of your time, you can find so many quick and easy recipes to cook, and they require very little cleanup.

Not to mention they can cook a lot of food so you can save the leftovers and not have to worry about cooking the next night.

Quick Weekend Ingredient Prep

Take just 30 minutes out of one of your days off and use it to prep your meal ingredients for the week. This is one of my Secrets Of A Working Mom’s Daily Routine.

It’s not that much time and it’ll help give you a sort of jump-start for your week. Doing this is very handy because it saves you from all the extra time during cooking that you’d usually spend cutting and preparing the ingredients.

For example, chop up and bag a few onions, carrots, or whatever the chicken and rice casserole recipe calls for and when it comes time to cook all you’ll have to do is pull them out and use as needed.

Try New Ingredients

It’s easy to cook the same simple recipes over and over again because they’re convenient and save you time. But it can get boring to eat the same stuff every week, if you’re stuck in this rut there’s only one way to get out of it without making things harder on yourself.

Just use new ingredients, it’s very simple, takes no time, and will revamp those boring repetitive meals into something fresh and new.

For example, instead of green beans try some roasted broccoli or cauliflower and instead of mashed potatoes try some mashed rutabaga, you could try adding simple things to certain meals like putting butternut squash into your pasta or chili.

Time is an enemy for working moms and cooking takes up a lot of time that many moms don’t have or would rather be using to relax and unwind.

If that sounds like you then use these great cooking tips for working moms to make cooking less terrifying and a lot easier for you.
