One looks forward to staying at a hotel for so many reasons. The room service, the food and if you are lucky enough, a breathtaking view.

The fact that you would not have to do anything yourself except eat, sleep and leave without thinking about cleaning and cooking is a huge reason for anyone to yearn for more visits to a hotel. What adds to the grandeur of any hotel staying experience is its sparkling clean environment. From snow white bedding to the all clean bathrooms and shining, spotless carpets and upholstery everything is the reason for its glamour.

A hotel is a home away from home for travellers and it is the duty of the staff and the administration to not only maintain its cleanliness but also its look and feel. Here is a checklist of strategies and implementations that is followed by hospitality setups to achieve the same.

HIRING PROFESSIONAL CLEANERS.

Reputation for any hospitality service is indispensable. The stakes are extremely high. Therefore they are extremely careful about their services. Providing a clean environment to their guests is the topmost priority. For impeccable cleaning results, the hospitality industry prefers professionals to do the cleaning business. With their entourage of highly developed machines and highly efficient cleaning chemicals the professionals deliver extremely satisfying results.

It is their job to look in every nook and corner of every place they are assigned. Have you ever wondered what makes the bathrooms of a reputed hotel always new. The credit goes to professional cleaners.

HAVING A MONTHLY CLEANING SCHEDULE.

Another strategy that is adopted by hotel management as a policy is having a well planned schedule for all activities that are important. Every activity is planned according to its priority and availability of staff. A cleaning schedule is allotted at regular intervals during the monthly calendar to avoid unnecessary buildup of dust and dirt. This ensures that the cleaning agency is informed about their tasks beforehand to avoid last minute cancellations.

CONTRIBUTION TO CARBON FOOTPRINT.

The majority of hospitable businesses have adopted the policy of contributing minimum to carbon footprint. In addition to using recycled products only, they prefer those cleaning products only which do not produce harmful chemicals after use. Biodegradable cleaning products are preferred over non biodegradable ones.

THE FURNITURE AND CARPETS ARE REGULARLY REPLACED.

No matter how good the furniture is or how well the carpet is maintained, a place like a hotel is a high traffic area where wear and tear is inevitable. The hospitality business industry has a policy to ensure old looking, faded upholstery and carpets at regular intervals.

SPECIAL MACHINES AND CHEMICALS FOR EACH TASK.

Do you know that chemicals have been manufactured to deal with pet urine stains, chemical treatment of microbes on carpets and machines like machines like steam carpet cleaners are dedicated for specialized cleaning. The best tile cleaning machines are hired by hotels for the bathrooms to always make them look new. This army of chemicals and machines specialized for each task enables the management to fulfill the standards of cleanliness for the guests.

An unclean hotel is bigger put off for any guest than bad food or a delayed service. No one wants to put oneself at risk of getting infections and paying at the same time. In addition they would put bad reviews online which would spiral into losing lots of customers because of the bad reputation. Good housekeeping is the first step in building a good reputation for any hotel.

An unclean place to stay is the last thing a customer would like to pay for.
