Many toxic substances can get into the body through industrial waste, drug and substance abuse, and so on. The body may accumulate substances that are toxic from the environment such as pesticides, addictive food, pollutants, etc internal detoxification of the body gets rid of these substances and leaves an individual with a clean body.

  1.   Why Detoxing?

This is another thing people may want to know. Why does one need to detox? Of what benefit is detoxing to the body, mind, and soul? Well, if you do the right kind of detoxification, then your body will be fresh and healthy. It will ease discomfort such as headaches, memory loss, and back pains. Your hormonal system will also get a boost. This should improve your moods and reduce the body’s dependency on chemicals and drugs.

  1.   Short Term Detoxing

Detox programs include short-term and long-term detoxing. A 24-hour juice fasting therapy is a short-term detox program. The same case applies to chelation, which is a treatment for the removal of heavy metals from the body. Others are colon cleansing, intravenous injections, and skin cleansing

  1.   Long-Term Detoxing

This is a long-term program of detoxifying the body. It includes several activities such as dietary changes, drinking fluids, and other alternative therapies that help to cleanse the body of toxins. A long-term detoxing formula would be to take vitamins and supplements. You can also try therapies such as homeopathy, yoga exercises, and Tai Chi. These help to regulate energy levels and stress.  Dietary changes include avoidance of meats, sweeteners, high carbohydrates, and so on. Eating more fruits and vegetables is also a good dietary method of detoxing.

  1.   Detox programs to follow at home

You can follow a detox program at home to help you achieve the right health benefits. However, some of these programs may not be long-term in terms of the solutions they offer.
