What Are CBD Hemp Buds?

This post may contain affiliate links. Read full disclosure.

by RAKI WRIGHT

Hemp flowers are created by Cannabis Sativa L (the female hemp plant) when the plant reaches maturation. These flowers contain a rich concentration of flavonoids, cannabidiol, and terpenes. They smell and look very similar to cannabis flowers. The hemp flowers are also known as a CBD flower, hemp buds, or CBD buds.

What Are CBD Buds?

CBD seeds give off buds that the female hemp plant produces which are bred specifically to contain low concentrations of THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) and higher concentrations of cannabidiol. They are unlike the cannabis buds that produce a psychoactive effect.

Cannabis and hemp are associated closely with one another due to their origins. If you’re looking for products made from industrial-grade hemp, check out Finest Labs.

Both these plants belong to the Cannabaceae family and both plants are from the genus cannabis. From non-science perspectives, this may make them appear to be the same or produce similar effects. Yet this is a common belief that is very mistaken.

True hemp, known as Cannabis Sativa L, is a very different plant to Marijuana. True hemp is also specifically grown for industrial reasons and purposes. Hemp has more than 25,000 known uses, which has turned into a highly versatile plant. Some of the products that contain hemp or are made from this plant include: biofuel, insulation, oil, paint, food, biodegradable plastics, clothing, textiles, and paper. Hemp is also commonly used as a type of animal feed and now it is also possible to buy CBD Hemp Buds, which are the powerful flowers produced by the Cannabis Sativa L plants.

The Difference Between Cannabis Buds And CBD Buds

Marijuana is associated with a bad reputation due to a compound known as Tetrahydrocannabinol, better known as delta 8 thc. This is the compound that causes a “high” in people. THC contains mind-altering properties which can bring about anxiety, paranoia, along with other types of psychoactive effects that Marijuana-users enjoy and crave.

Due to the compound THC, marijuana is labeled as one of the psychoactive drugs. According to Science Daily, psychotropic drugs are classified as chemical substances that act mainly on the person’s central nervous system. It alters brain functioning, which results in a temporary change in behavior, consciousness, mood, and perception.

Hemp, on the other hand, contains 0.2% or less of THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol). Such a low THC content has made it impossible to produce mind-altering effects as marijuana does. Research and studies have found that raw hemp plants actually contain more than 500 chemical compounds. Unfortunately, 1 of these is THC, and this has given hemp a poor reputation, even though the percentage is so tiny.

How To Use CBD Hemp Buds

Today the most popular methods to consume Hemp flowers or CBD Hemp Buds include using the buds as a type of cooking ingredient, vaping, and smoking. Vaporizing is one of the effective methods to consume Hemp Buds. Vaping is also regarded as a safer way to consume CBD hemp buds due to the absence of combustion. CBD, along with other flavonoids, terpenes, and cannabinoids absorb into the bloodstream through the lungs, which means they are able to quickly reach the brain.
