There are many reasons to consider a tech career especially if you’re a stay at home parent, and the love of all things tech and geeky is just one of them. The salary is another. There’s nothing wrong with getting in it for the money, which could soon help you at home with the family and kids.

If you want the salary of a tech career but aren’t sure you have it in you, you are probably wrong about that too. Try an AI Course today and see for yourself. Take a look at the up-and-coming technology careers for 2022 and see for yourself. There’s something here for everyone.

Information Systems Manager (IS) — $115,000

The starting pay for an IS manager is not a terrible thing to look at. You are looking at a starting salary that is very likely to start in the six figures. This job involves a bachelor’s degree in computing or computer science. You also want to have some hands-on training in information systems management.

Here you will use information systems that enable you to manage teams that create, share, and distribute information that is digital in nature. The highest paid IS managers, ones that make closer to $150,000 know how to do this with data science techniques that employ the scientific method in order to manage information systems. If you don’t have a degree yet, start there with your options.

Software Development — $95,000

Software development is another exciting field where you can earn six figures very easily. What can you make software in? Any field. Here you can marry all of your talents into one exciting tech career that is as creative as it is technological. One area of software development that is gaining ground is NFT development, where non-fungible tokens are traded for currency. Software is needed for that, and the development of systems of this nature can help you get closer to higher salaries.

This field has a salary that typically starts at $95,000, and involves the use of coding talent, technical know-how, and some big data analysis.  You also need to know some basic development language, as this will be most of your work. Performance is likely required in your interviews for the job. Conduct the research you need to find out what is required for the job of your dreams, and you may be well on your way to this exciting salary.

Cybersecurity Analysts — $100,000

A cybersecurity analyst is precisely what you think it might be. This is someone that handles the cybersecurity for a large company, or even a small company where needed. You are going to need to know the Internet, and coding both, like the back of your hand.  You’ll also need to know how to handle security matters professionally. Marrying all of these skills is what will earn you the big bucks.

A bachelor’s degree is a good place to start here. However, you can also get far in this field with exceptional experience. If you ran the night shift as a security guard and did well once in your life, you can add this to your repertoire of valued experience for this job. This is a job that becomes higher in demand every day. Know computers, every part of them, and how to get into them in ways that nobody else can, and you have a good shot at becoming a mastermind in resolving the world’s greatest threats.

Systems Analysts — $88,270

Systems analysts are excellent starter jobs if you want a job in the tech sector, and nearly $90,000 as a starting base salary is not a bad job. In this job, you get to use big data and data science to present logical theories and procedures to a company’s system so that they can maintain efficiency and profitability.

There are many companies today that will pay for your education for this job. If you are vying for the six-figure work, this is excellent work for you to start with as the experience is exceptional.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning — $150,000

In the field of artificial intelligence (AI), you get to do things like develop TouchID, design a self-checkout, play with robots, and learn about technology before anybody else will ever use it. You get to make it too. For this, you will need a degree that will earn you $150,000, and you will also need to learn some programming language. This is a field that everybody talks about because it isn’t just changing the world, it is changing our daily lives and the littlest things in it. Cue the Jetsons, that could be your job in AI.

Start Your Career

These are just a few examples of the many careers that you can be a part of when you enter the world of tech as a mom or dad who stays at home but is looking for a career with good pay. Big Data, NFT, AI, and data science, will all be terms you use in your everyday world in these jobs. The salaries are worth the time and effort you put into learning how to do them as well. Where do you want to start your career in technology today?
