  • Use different décor materials

  • Orderly arrange and pile books
  • Ensure you maintain symmetrical balance
  • Maintain a decorative balance
  • Regularly swap your decorative pieces
  • Wisely integrate different colours

  • Inspect different sides to ensure a perfect look all round

The coffee table is often the centerpiece in most homes – the star of the house. It is the little things that you add to your table that make it magnificent. These designer tips will help achieve an elegant and personal touch on your coffee table. The beauty of these tweaks is that you can apply a few DIYs that will change the table’s entire outlook and, in turn, the living room.

Consider the theme of your living room

The design, size, and type of your coffee table determine the decorative approach you need to take. You need to ensure that your decorations and additions will blend in with the room’s colour and theme.

While setting your coffee table, ensure you adhere to the living room’s organisation rules by ensuring it is positioned at the right place and is at the centre of the carpet.

Use Different Décor Material

Consider the type and colour of the material that your coffee table is made from. It will help you determine which decorations you can add to the coffee table: porcelain, wood, concrete, woven (organic), or glass materials. Concrete and porcelain vases, in particular, add an earthy feel to the table, thus giving it a good contrast.

You can also use beaded or woven materials that will give the centerpiece an authentic look. Be sure to showcase your favourite decorative piece on the table: it will personalize and sign off your personality on the table.

Incorporate Nature

Nature often brings calmness and relaxation to a room. It would be best if you got some brightly coloured flowers or plants that can fit perfectly in your decorative vase. Besides adding colour contrast and brightness to the table, you also get to have that refreshing look and air in the room.

Orderly Arrange and Pile Books

Books play a significant role in highlighting different elements on the table. Even though you might have a coffee table with storage, organizing the book on the table gives it an improved look.

The books also give your visitors alternative activities while sitting at the coffee table. You can also choose to include some interesting games like the colour cube game.

Ensure You Maintain a Symmetrical Balance

Symmetry will always create the illusion of proper organization. Ensure that you equally balance the different table sections to get an organized table. To achieve symmetry, divide the coffee table into sizable portions.

Designers mostly recommend three sections. It would be best if you then dedicated each section to specific decorative pieces. For easy compartmentalization, you can use tape to mark the segments.

Maintain the Decorative Balance

The weight and height of your decorations play a significant role in highlighting the different pieces. You need to keenly mix up the different elements to ensure that each shines individually but collectively makes an important contribution in beautifying the coffee table.

Regularly Swap Your Decorative Pieces

Having the same decorative pieces or style all year through will kill your coffee table vibe. It would help if you regularly swapped or jumbled your pieces to create new and creative looks during the year. You should also make efforts to purchase new pieces, repair and discard worn-out progressively and old pieces.

Wisely Integrate Different Colours

Blending or contrasting different colours is no easy task. Your coffee table and room’s base colour should guide you in choosing which colour will best suit your coffee table. Whether you want to showcase single or multi-colours, be sure to choose which pieces will best highlight your intentions carefully.

Use a Tray

Using a tray helps you to highlight a group of decorative elements collectively. The type of tray you use will also add to the class and style of the table. The most common types of trays used are metallic and woven trays. The tray can also add to the storage functionality of a coffee table with storage since you can put various decorative items

Inspect Different Sides To Ensure a Perfect Look All Round

The table’s appearance from different angles will give you a hint of which areas you need to improve to get the perfect look. Do not be biased with specific sides; rather, positively criticise yourself and make the necessary adjustments.

Take charge of your life today and make the necessary decorative changes. Be confident in your decorative instincts, and you will not be disappointed.
