Brought to you by the Orkin Household Pests 101 Back to School Pack.

It’s back-to-school time and class is in session … Orkin is back with Household Pests 101 – featuring some of Orkin’s scientific knowledge of pests. The Orkin Man is here to help you #LearnWithOrkin so you don’t get schooled by pest problems in your own home.

But Back-To-School doesn’t just mean for the kids. Orkin knows that moms are on the go more than ever and wants to make sure you’re all set when driving the kids to soccer practice, racing to make it to school on time and just maybe getting a minute for yourself! Back-to-school time is a great time to #LearnWithOrkin about pest prevention.

3 Things Every Mom on the Go Needs

1. Portable Phone Charger – If you’re anything like me, you’re on the go from sun up to sun down and you can’t afford not to be accessible. Keep a portable phone charger on hand to help your phone keep up with your busy life.

2. Travel Mug w/ lid – I start out every morning with a travel mug of my favorite coffee blend. So just remember that your car isn’t the only thing that needs fueling up in the morning.

3. First Aid Kid – The First Aid Kit I keep in my car has Neosporin, bandages, anti-bacterial wipes, Tylenol, sunscreen, and Dramamine in it. Never know when you might need something.

  62. Heather Bridson says

We love our houseplants, but we have breakouts of spider mites and fungus gnats pretty often, usually when a new plant arrives and doesn’t get treated before it comes inside. I use those sticky yellow sheets, cut to be small enough for each plant pot, and use a toothpick as a post for it. Makes it easy to see what bugs are on the plants, and when they need to be treated.

Mice enter homes through small cracks and holes in walls and foundations, gaps beneath doors or in windows or ceilings, or in rare cases even sink or bathtub drains. In order to keep mice out, seal any cracks and crevices and weather-strip and close all doors and windows properly.
