SeaWorld is a magical park everyone should visit at least once in their lifetime — especially the location in Orlando, FL. There are many reasons to visit SeaWorld, from getting close to the animals and learning more about the oceans in a more engaging way than a classroom lecture. But, one of the best times to go is during the fall.

Not only do you get to enjoy more moderate fall weather in Orlando, but you can also visit the Halloween Spooktacular and Craft Beer Festival events. This fall, they overlap on the weekends starting September 27 through October 27.

Not only is the weather wonderful, but there are many Orlando resort hotels available to serve as your home base for your trip — including the popular Hyatt House across from Universal Orlando Resort and the Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld. Planning a trip during the fall lets you view SeaWorld from a perspective you may have never seen before. Keep reading to learn more.

Go for the Education

Some people may say that SeaWorld offers a form of “edutainment” — and they’re right! Shouldn’t education be fun? The best way to learn is through experience the subject firsthand, making vivid memories that will last a lifetime. At SeaWorld, this form of education is no exception.

All around the park, you will see the staff go out of their way to teach visitors about marine life. You’ll learn so much more about where they live, how they live, and what they eat. There are many hands-on learning stations where you can learn about things like how a manatee prepares its food. And, there are plenty of scheduled seminars to attend and even Adventure Camps, which provide lasting fun for all.

Check Out the Costumes

Halloween is all about costumes, right? Well, during the Halloween Spooktacular event you will get to see costumes in spades. Everyone is encouraged to wear their costumes to the park. But keep in mind that guests 13 years and older are not allowed to wear hoods or masks and face painting is only allowed on the property. Other than that, let your creative side shine. This is the place to take your kids for a safe trick-or-treating extravaganza. All sorts of candy will be given away at the many trick-or-treating stations throughout the park.

Dance the Night Away

We can’t forget to mention the Halloween dance party. When was the last time you went to a fun dance party where everyone was ready to get their groove on? Well, at SeaWorld, you can expect just that. Every night, around one hour before the park closes, SeaWorld hosts a dance party at the Village Square. There are guided line dances too, and the air is often filled with floating bubbles. This is a great time for everyone to let off some steam and have some good old-fashioned fun.

It’s Not Just for Kids

While the Halloween Spooktacular is definitely kid-friendly, parents can have their own bit of fun too. The Craft Beer Festival lets parents sample beers from over 100 craft breweries across the state of Florida. Whether you’re from in-state or visiting, there’s sure to be something new for even the snobbiest of hop heads.
