The general concept of losing weight or body transformation is to cut out all the “unhealthy” food and drinks. Needless to say, it also means not drinking any alcoholic beverages. Because drinking is mainly linked with weight gain (and even obesity). That’s why most of the diet excludes drinking.

But what if we tell you that you can get back in shape without having to exclude drinking. Yes, you read it right! And not just any drink; we are talking about “wine.”

You might already know that wine offers numerous health benefits due to its antioxidant properties. To add to this, numerous studies have shown that you need not omit wine from your lifestyle to lose weight.

Seems interesting? Alright then! Let’s take a look at wine-friendly weight loss plans that you can try!

  • Mediterranean diet

The Mediterranean diet is well-known amongst wine lovers. It includes the consumption of fruits, veggies, nuts, seafood, and wine (at a moderate level). It is proven to improve liver health and reduce weight. The secret here is that all the other parts of this plan are usually low in carbs and fat. By adding a little bit of red wine to it, the nutritional level of the plan doesn’t get affected. Instead, it offers antioxidants benefits.

Tip: If you are a huge lover of this sweet-tannin drink, you should consider joining a monthly wine club to try different flavors. It’ll help you discover your favorite taste. And you’ll also not get bored with your diet. So, it’s a win-win!

  • Anti-inflammatory diet

Inflammation helps protect your body against the invaders such as viruses and bacterias. However, for conditions like arthritis, asthma, weight gain, or skin issues, inflammation can cause several damages. In such a situation, following an anti-inflammatory diet plan can help you stay healthy while losing weight at the same time.

As the name suggests in this plan, you need to consume food that has anti-inflammatory properties. And one such food time is red wine. It helps in preventing radical damage that causes inflammation in the body.

Nevertheless, you must ask about the consumption level from your dietitian.

  • Gluten-free diet

If you or any of your loved ones have celiac or gluten sensitivity, this weight loss plan is meant for you. In fact, this plan is often recommended to people suffering from PCOS (Polycystic ovary syndrome), inflammation, and autoimmune issues.

In this plan, you can eat whole grains, citrus fruits, mushrooms, seafood, nuts, and wine. And the best part? Unlike the two plans mentioned above, you can consume as much wine as you want. Why? It’s because wine is gluten-free. Still, it’s better to drink less than your limits.

Note: Make sure to read the ingredients on the wine bottles. As gluten might be one of its fining agents. But don’t worry! The gluten level will not be high enough to affect your body. Yet remember that prevention is better than cure!

Final words,

These are the diet plans that you can try to transform your body without compromising with drinking. Nonetheless, keep your alcohol consumption in check. Also, consult your dietitian before making any changes to your plan.
