Healthy hair maintenance begins with great hair products.

Naturally curly hair is beautiful when it behaves. It can also be a challenge to manage, condition, and style. Although my daughter is only four, I have learned a lot to help me in this journey.

My daughter (Miss K) has naturally curly hair. It’s beautiful. It’s different. It’s her.

It requires a lot of care including shampooing, deep conditioning, leave-in treatments, daily styling, and daily conditioning. I don’t use the same chemicals in her hair that I might use in my own.

Natural hair needs to be moisturized and curly hair can get tangled on hair accessories.

Kimberly (Kim) Kimble is one of the most sought after hair stylists in the entertainment industry. She’s featured on the WE channel’s show LA Hair and has her own hair line called KimbleBeauty.

KimbleBeauty Shine Serum

When conditioning, I’ve read that I should look for products to put moisture back into her hair to prevent tangles and dryness. The Brazilian Nut & Acai Berry SHINE SERUM adds shine to dull & dry hair. I pumped the serum onto my finger and rubbed into Miss K’s scalp.

Silk Non Metal Hair Elastics

Highly coveted for its luxurious and delicate qualities, silk helps maintain healthy looking hair by minimizing friction and preventing natural oils from depleting. Fabrics such as cotton have the tendency to absorb hair’s natural moisture and be overly harsh, causing hair to become dry and brittle. Sealing in nutrients and shine, hair dressed in silk results in a smoother and glossier appearance. Since Miss K’s hair is so curly, if elastics are left on for more than a couple of days, they can get tangled in her hair. I had no problems removing them.

What Kim Kimble & Other Celebrities Have to Say About KimbleBeauty

In a recent interview, Kim said “I love my shine serum, it always keeps the hair shiny.  You know when you first get your hair done its shiny, then after a few days it starts to dull down a little bit. When you put the shine serum on, it instantly gives your hair more shine.  And I also use it for styling purposes as well, it can make the hair look piecey-looking.  When I’m styling I like products that have more than one purpose to them, so I’d have to say the shine serum does that.”

Tracee Ellis Ross stated “When it’s time for my hair to get some rest, I either wear it in a ponytail, bun or my favorite “milkmaid” braid. My everyday essentials are Kim Kimble satin rubber bands, Bumble and Bumble Quenching Complex leave-in conditioner, Aestelance Hydrate leave-in conditioner.”

I use Tresemmé Flawless Curls Extra Hold Mousse to care for my curly hair. This mousse is incredible and it smells wonderful, like watermelon. I put a couple egg-sized handfuls into my damp, air-dried hair to find the waves spring out of nothing…. It makes my thick, wavy, shoulder-length hair look like it just came from the salon!
