Protecting your hair from the elements is easy if you know-how. With a number of products on the market as well as static removing hairbrushes, there are a number of products that can help you to achieve perfect hair all year round.

In this article, we will be looking into how you can protect your hair through the elements, regardless of what the weather throws at you.

Add Moisture
When battered by the elements, your hair can become dry and may be in urgent need of moisture. If this is the case, then hair care products such as hair masks, oils and nourishing shampoos can all help to give your hair the moisture it needs. This is particularly important if you are experiencing some form of hair loss as the Turkey transplant cost can vary dependant on the treatment that you need. Therefore, caring for your hair beforehand will help to prevent hair loss as well as any other damage. Whether you apply products during the washing process, or you apply to the hair and leave in until the next wash, this can help to protect your hair come rain or shine throughout the day.

Avoid Heat Styling
In addition to adding moisture to the hair, it is important to avoid styling with heat during the winter months as this will help to prevent damage. Not only will this dry out your hair, but it can also lead to split ends and the hair being damaged in the follicle. Though it can be difficult to completely eliminate using heat when styling, hairstyles such as a bun, plat or ponytail help to alleviate the damage caused to the head during this time. In addition to this, towel or air drying the hair can help to prevent damage and maintain healthy hair all year round.

Dry Hair Before Leaving the House
Though it may seem tempting to rush out of the door with wet hair, it is crucial that you avoid this when the weather is cold. Hair is made up of a cortex that gets pulled when the hair is wet causing it to fall out. By drying your hair, you are alleviating the pressure as well as helping the hair to stay stronger. In addition to this, cold weather can affect the structure of your hair causing long-lasting damage as a result, therefore drying your hair before heading out the door will help to prevent this in the long term.

Remove Static
The final way to care for your hair in the winter is to remove the static. We have all been there, wearing jumpers all day and finding that static energy is building up in our hair. But by using a dry sheet in your hairbrush, you can run it through the hair and remove the static with ease. Whether this is at night before you go to sleep or throughout the day, this will help to prevent the damage to the scalp as well as the lengths of your hair by getting stuck on your clothes.
With this in mind, there are a number of options available to help you achieve perfectly healthy hair throughout the winter months without using any harsh chemicals. Whether you opt for some that are listed above, or you try your own, we are sure you will get the results you want with ease.
