Grasp means to have a tight hold on something. I don’t feel like I have a grasp on anything right now. Everything is a mess. Nothing is planned.
But, I still have my family, a hold on them, that is. And, I’m not letting go.
As a matter of fact, grasp is something that is planned, an action. You can’t accidentally grasp something. You have to mean it, and work at it. So, I am deciding right now to purposefully have a grasp on my life. Stop letting life happen to me, take the reigns. Live on purpose.
Ever heard the phrase “grasp on reality?” I have. It means that you are fully aware of what is going on, in real life, not living in a fantasy world. Although I do fully understand what’s going on, sometimes I choose to ignore it. But, that doesn’t make it any less real. That doesn’t make it go away. All the more reason to have a grasp on it.
Be purposeful. Make a choice.
1. Write for 5 minutes flat – no editing, no over thinking, no backtracking.
2. Link back here and invite others to join in.
3. And then absolutely, no ifs, ands or buts about it, you need to visit the person who linked up before you & encourage them in their comments. Seriously. That is, like, the rule. And the fun. And the heart of this community..

Raki,
I’m stopping by from 5MF. Thanks for sharing. I can relate to your desire to live purposefully! He calls us to live intentional, disciplined, and purposefully. He will bless us in that.
God bless!

Just dropping by from the FMF linkup. I enjoyed your post. I don’t often think of grasp as an ‘in the moment’ live action, but it is. Need to be conscious of the choices we make to be present.
