A great picnic is measured by how good the food is. Sure, the location and scenery is important too, but without good food, your picnic will be a disaster.

To prevent this overwhelming tragedy and embarrassment, here are some fun snacks you can bring to make your picnic fun and awesome.

1.) Pepper Jelly Dip

To kick things off at your picnic, you’ll need something that has that little kick to it, and pepper jelly dip can be just that.

It goes great with any sort of cracker and is super easy to make at home and pack up for the picnic. Simply find a bowl and add in cream cheese, your favorite flavor of pepper jelly, and anything else you’d like to have in there to make it your own.

2.) Fruit Kabobs

This snack works great as something to nibble on as you and your family or you and your loved one look out at your scenic view. These kabobs will be an excellent addition to your picnic lineup.

All you need is your favorite fruits and some kabob skewers. Recommended strawberries, watermelon, pineapple, grapes, and either blackberries or raspberries.

Shove the sticks right through your fruit, pack them up, and just like that you’re all set to eat them!

3.) Homemade Cozy Pigs

Pigs in a blanket may seem like an odd choice for a picnic, but they taste good, can be dipped in a lot of condiments, and are fun to make and eat.

You’ll need some mini wieners and some pillsbury crescent rolls. Roll the mini wieners in the crescent rolls, then bake them up!

You can add some cheese or bacon before rolling, or bring your favorite condiments along to dip these bad boys in. They work great as an appetizer and will always be a hit amongst your fellow picnic goers.

4.) Potato Salad

If you go on a picnic, and potato salad is not brought, you’re doing something incredibly wrong. There are as many recipes for this picnic classic as there are stars in the sky, and for good reason too.

You should have a family recipe for potato salad and if you don’t, congratulations! You now get to start something that will be in your family for generations to come.

Potato salad is crucial and a must have to any good picnic, don’t forget that!

5.) Banana Wafer Pudding

To conclude our list we have the concluding dish, dessert! This particular dessert is fun to make, requires no baking, and is absolutely delicious!

Simply mix vanilla pudding and some chopped bananas together, and then add your vanilla wafers on top. You can also add chocolate chips to give it some extra sweetness.

This dessert is sure to be a great crowd pleaser or a nice snack to share between you and someone special. If you’re looking to do the latter, consider bringing one bowl and two spoons!

Adding these snacks to your next picnic menu is sure to make your picnic a success!
