Are you thinking about getting a surrogate mother in Greece? Then the cost of surrogacy in Greece may be important for you. You may order the service in the World Center of Baby. But what about the average cost around the country?

In Greece, such services are quite expensive. The price is from $85,000 to $100,000. The other extra services may increase the sum. You pay for a surrogate mother and cover the clinic’s other expenses. If there are some unexpected circumstances, it is the customer who pays. The customer service is quite reliable and professional. So, if you are ready to pay, you may order surrogacy in Greece.

Surrogacy in Greece: Issues for Surrogate Mothers and Future Parents

The attitude towards surrogacy in Greece is quite contestable. There is a practice of altruistic surrogacy. It means that the surrogate mother does not get paid for the service. She gives birth to the child as a voluntary help for the intended parents. The parents should pay only medical costs for pregnancy in the clinic.

The surrogate mother should meet the following criteria:

  1. The mother should be in good physical health. It is important for her to have medical confirmation of this
  2. She should get a pre-screening in the agency
  3. The woman has to conclude a contract with the future parents of the child
  4. The surrogate mother cannot be genetically connected with a child

What about LGBT couples? Gay families cannot order surrogacy in Greece. The law permits agencies to provide such services. The government is going to allow gay couples surrogacy in the future. Yet, now it is impossible.

Surrogacy Agency in Greece: What to Choose?

You may order surrogacy in the World Center of Baby. It is an international organization that provides such services to many people from different countries. If you are from Greece, you may also find support here. LGBT couples can have a child with the help of the agency.

In the World Center of Baby, you may order the best quality services. They include a surrogate mother selection, transfer of the embryo, and getting biomaterials. The price for surrogacy is also quite affordable. No matter where you are from, the cost is the same. It depends on the type of service you order. You may find the information on a forum.

Surrogacy Laws in Greece: Main Points

The law in Greece allows only altruistic surrogacy. The mother should deliver a child to the future parents for free. The agencies only cover medical expenses. Yet, even this compensation can be no more than 12000$. The surrogate mother may get pregnant only with the DNA material of the future parents. She cannot use her own egg. So, Greece is not a perfect place to order surrogacy services.

Before the year 2016, only Greece citizens were permitted to order surrogacy. In 2016, the government issued a law that foreign citizens can also have a surrogate mother. The surrogacy laws in Greece are strict. Yet, there is an advantage. The country gives legal protection both to the surrogate mother and the parents.
