With several activities in store for every family member to enjoy, you can customize your trip with Bryce Canyon National Park tours to make the most of your time at the park.

Explore the Trails

Get the family moving by going for a hike on one of the easy trails. One of the highlights the park has to offer is stunning views of the iconic Bryce Canyon Amphitheater. Part of this rim trail is flat and paved, making it both stroller and kid-friendly.

The Bristlecone Loop Trail is another opportunity for the family to explore part of the park. It runs only 1 mile long and offers stunning vistas of some of the oldest pine trees..

An alternative to hiking is to see Bryce Canyon from the comfort of your car. It takes a little over 3 hours to see the whole park by car, and is a total of 38 miles roundtrip. Taking this route with the family will ensure you see all 13 viewpoints along Utah’s All American Road (Highway 12) and Highway 63.

Picnic or Stay Overnight

There is nothing quite like enjoying a meal with your family while simultaneously enjoying the outdoors. Pack up a meal beforehand or grab some food from the onsite restaurant or general store. Choose from picnic and grill areas at Sunset Point, Whiteman Bench, and Yovimpa Point.

For the more adventurous there are campgrounds where you can spend the night with your family. There are two campsites that are available on a first-come-first-serve basis. Pack a tent or bring the RV. Know more about RV Refinancing and spend your family vacation on the road.”

Consider a stay at the Bryce Canyon Lodge for a more luxurious and fuss-free option. This accommodation offers several amenities and is located near the canyon rim. You can enjoy a breathtaking sunset together before having a family game night by the fireplace. Staying at the lodge is the most popular way for families to spend more time in the park.

Junior Ranger Program

Take exploring Bryce Canyon a step further by enrolling the kids in the Junior Ranger Program, which offers educational games and activities for those keen to learn more. It’s a fun way to become more conscious about the surroundings, and  junior rangers will receive a souvenir badge and certificate when they complete the program.

Participants will be taught how to care for the environment, will attend a presentation by a park ranger, and even collect litter to help keep the park clean. The activity booklet is free and available at the visitor center. Expect it to take children between 3 to 6 hours to complete the program.
