The holiday season is inching closer, and the to-do lists tend to get longer as the festivities approach. You will have to rush for last-minute shopping, skim through the get lists, hang up the decorations, draw the party menus and do a lot more.

Image by Karolina Grabowska from PixabayThings can be hard to juggle when you are nearing the big day, so it makes sense to cover some tasks early. One of the aspects you can manage right now is making your living space holiday-ready. It can save you from panic when the guests are all set to come and your place appears like a mess. Here are some simple tricks you can use to give a warm and welcoming ambiance to your home this festive season.

Create a welcoming festive entrance

When it comes to making a great first impression on your guests, the entrance is where everything starts. Decorate the front entrance with some simple yet elegant ideas. You can invest in fresh and fragrant boughs if you are a green-lover, while bright and shimmery decorations make a good idea for homeowners looking for extra attention.

Add lots of twinkly lights to bring the element of festive cheer to the entrance of your house with you can look for unique ideas provided by myfestivefinds.com.

Give them space to place stuff

Winter guests often come loaded with layers of outerwear, boots and hats that they would want to discard right when they come indoors. A practical, functional storage space in the hallway makes them comfortable just when they step in. If you do not have an extra room that you can convert as a closet for your guests, install some hooks on the wall near the entrance or place a cupboard where they can hang their stuff before making way into the living area.

A great way to expand space when need is with a set of 3 tables. Nests of tables are a practical addition to any room, providing extra table space when needed, but storing neatly together to take up minimal space when not in use.

Invest in a living room makeover

There isn’t a better time for a living room makeover than the holidays. Consider warming up the place with some rugs and throws that add a welcoming visual appeal. Investing in an electric fireplace insert by MagikFlame is a great idea from both an aesthetic and functionality perspective. Pick some portable accent tables and ottomans for the living room to create extra space to keep the gifts and have more sitting areas for the visitors.

Be ready for holiday sleep-overs

A space-saving wall bed can be an excellent investment to make your living space ready for the festivities when you have an occasional guest willing to sleep over just because they are too drunk or the weather is bad. Consider installing it in the spare room. Look for something stylish and comfortable so that you have something perfect to offer for your loved ones.

Update your dining room table

When it comes to festivities, you cannot stop thinking about food, and having a stylish dining room table can add up to the taste. This may be a good time to update your dining table or even add pick a new one. If your holiday decor budget is limited, consider replacing the dining chairs for a fresh look. Just changing the table cloth and decorating with fresh flowers can make a difference.

Holiday decor need not be complicated or expensive, but you need to think creative and out-of-the-box to make an impression. Just start early and be ready when the festivities begin!
