What is an “outside the box mom?”

All of us are!

According to Wikipedia, thinking outside the box is to think differently, unconventionally or from a new perspective.

  • How many times have you needed an ingredient and made due with what you had?
  • How often have you used only the 15 minutes you had to handle 45 minutes of work?
  • When is the last time you just simply found another way?

Chances are, you do this everyday.  It’s just who you are, as a mom.  You just make it all work.

As part of my quest to make it all work, I’ve tried to find tips from other moms who are balancing full-time work (outside the home), marriage, motherhood, and still find time for themselves.

I try to make the most of my work day, spend time with and do things for my husband, take care of and spend time with the kids, and carve out some quiet time for me (even if it is just during a commute!).  I’ve found that you have to look at the big picture.  You can’t just look at today, or sometimes even just this week.  In the grand scheme of things, it all seems to work and balance out.
