Keeping your kids busy can be a challenge, especially when they are young. This is because there are so many activities that you will feel comfortable doing with them.

Jason Walker the founder of GameQuarium.com says that fun activities are a great way of helping kids develop coordination skills.

This article will give you the ultimate guide for fun activities that you can do with your kids to solve this problem.

1. Kids activity books

Children love learning with books. But not all children learn in the same way. Some children learn best when they are listening to stories, while others like to read the words on their own. Still, others need hands-on activities that help them remember what they’ve learned. Books that offer hands-on activities are called activity books, and this blog provides examples of some of the most popular activity books for children.

2. Play dress up

Dressing up is one of the most common types of play activity among children around age three and above. It might seem like “playing pretend, but dressing up helps develop their imagination and creativity; it also helps them identify with certain characters or figures (like princesses, superheroes, etc.).

3. Play pretend

Another common type of play activity among children is playing pretend. Pretend play can involve anything that a child wants it to be as long as they make up its rules. For example, your child can play dress up, and you can be her prince or princess – however, she wants it to be.

You may want to suggest scenarios and storylines before playing so that the game will not go on too long and become boring for both you and your kid. But if your kid seems like she’s having fun with whatever fantasy world you’ve created together, then just let her run with it!

4. Dress your kids up in funny ways

If you’re tired of the same old dress-up session with your kid, try dressing them up in funny ways. You can add accessories such as hats or sunglasses (you can even make your crown out of brown paper); you can also add funny quotes on their shirts using a black marker when they wear plain colored shirts.

5. Play with play dough

Playdough is loads of fun for kids! You can make it yourself (there are many recipes available online), or you can buy a package at your local grocery store. Once you have the play dough ready, make funny shapes out of it and give them funny names.

If your kid seems interested in making things with play dough, let her do so while you supervise her work closely to ensure that she won’t ingest any of the dough by accident!

6. Play catch

If your kid is old enough to understand how to throw and catch, playing, catch should be their favorite after-school activity. At first, he may only want you to stand a few feet away from him, but don’t worry about it – this is perfectly normal since most toddlers and young children have a short attention span.

7. Do puzzles together

Puzzles are classic activities that both kids and parents can enjoy doing together! Even if your kid is too young to understand how to do a jigsaw puzzle, you can still try it out from time to time when she’s not around, so when she does come home; you two will have something fun for her to do while you’re fixing dinner in the kitchen.

8. Go for a bike ride

Bikes can be both entertaining and educational for kids. However, before letting your child ride her bike around the neighborhood, it may be best to go through some safety rules or guidelines first (e.g., never go in between two parked cars since there could be an opening door that might hit your child).

If she’s old enough to know how to ride a bicycle by herself, then let her do so at pretty busy places like playgrounds or parks.

The more practice she gets in riding bikes when she’s young, the better she’ll be at it when she’s old enough to go independently.

9. Put together puzzle books

You can find puzzle books at bookstores which you can give as gifts or buy for yourself; they usually cost between 5 to 15 dollars per book, depending on the publisher. Some puzzles are simple, while others are pretty complex, so you have to choose the best match for your kid’s ability level.

Today’s busy parents are always looking for ways to keep their kids entertained. Our list of fun activities will help you find something new and exciting that your children will love! If we missed any, please share them in the comments below. We can’t wait to see what everyone comes up with – it might just end up on our following list!
