Top five places to find real estate jobs online

by RAKI WRIGHT

Are you wanting a job in real estate but you’re not sure where to look? Well, online is your best option, as there is so much for you to uncover there. Not sure where to begin though? That’s okay – here we have compiled a list of the top five places for you to find real estate jobs online. You’ll be hired in no time!

Indeed

Indeed is one, if not the biggest, jobs website in the world – for the past decade it has seen the highest amount of web traffic out of all the jobs sites in the US. Indeed covers most sectors, and real estate is no exception. It’s also available in over 60 countries, so if you’re looking to relocate, you’ll be able to see what’s available in different areas via Indeed.

One great fact about Indeed is the fact that you can also read real estate company reviews from employees on the site. This means that you can get a better understanding of different businesses before you apply to a role. It can also help you to avoid ones that don’t sound like they’re suitable to you.

Directly Through a Real Estate Business Website

By doing it the old-fashioned way and applying directly from a real estate company website, you’re showing that you’ve not just stumbled across them accidentally. There is more intention by doing it this way, and you can learn about the company through what they’re publishing for their audience, on their website, and social media – it’s not just a faceless business like it can sometimes be via recruiters or jobs boards.

LinkedIn

Network, network, network! If you are looking for a real estate job, then you’re going to want to connect with potential managers or employers on your LinkedIn. This way, you can see if they’re advertising any roles and you can keep up with their businesses. It also puts you on their radar – make sure you include any relevant experience or character descriptions on your profile that could help you to get hired in your dream real estate role.

Recruiters

One thing you can consider is reaching out to recruiters online. You can send them your resume through their website or via LinkedIn – you may find they have roles available to you. You want to ensure that they specialize in real estate though, otherwise, you may be wasting your time. The only thing to keep in mind with recruiters is that they can often send you over roles that you don’t want. It’s best to be thorough with them about what you’re looking for – don’t be afraid to say no to them if you don’t like the sound of a role they want to put you forward for. You’re their client, remember!

Search Engines

You can’t go wrong with a Google search to get you started on your job hunt. This is more part of the research phase, but it can be a good way to see what real estate companies are near to you, and what roles are currently going. Try a few different search terms that are relevant to what you’re looking for and you’re sure to find something useful.

Best of luck!
