3 Best Party Hacks Every Parent Should Know

Party planning is an enormous undertaking, especially when you want to make everything perfect for your child or family. Don’t lose the excitement of celebration among the nitty-gritty. These are the best party hacks every parent should know to alleviate some of the party stress.

Tablecloth Alternatives

You may only have one tablecloth—and it doesn’t fit the mood of your party. Instead of fretting about finding all the right colors and themes, you should check your closet.

A fitted sheet works great as a tablecloth alternative. Though you may want to wash it before using it on your table, the fitted sheet will wrap over your tabletop with ease.

The elastic edge makes for easy assembly and it stays close to the table underneath. The best part is, you can avoid the annoying issue of sitting down and pulling a lengthy tablecloth with you.

Serving Tray Options

When you have a party, you’ll usually make fun drinks for everyone to enjoy. A fun punch is even better when you can serve it quickly and easily.

Instead of making a dozen trips to each person, you can use a muffin tin as a serving tray. This party hack is almost deceptively simple. You can just pour cups inside and carry out six or twelve drinks all at once, depending on the size of your tin.

Party Favor Favorites

Everyone loves party favors. While people bring a birthday or housewarming gift to the party, few expect to leave with something in return.

A party is a lot of effort, but favors are like the icing on the cake—people don’t often expect to have something so lovely to finish off the experience. Though you may need to find a few gifts at the store, you can use household items to make the bags and favors.

Find some loose fabric around the house and cut squares out of them. You can simply place the gift inside, fold up the corners and tie it off with a short rope or ribbon. If you want to go the extra mile, you can use custom ribbon for favors and wow your guests with a deceptively easy tie.

With these party hacks every parent should know in the back of your mind, you can make the most of every occasion. Though you will have lots on your plate, hopefully, a little creativity can make your plans go a long way.
