In today’s day and age, we’re finding ourselves switching towards a different way of working. Traditional, office jobs are far from being all the rage, and instead, a lot of people are switching towards an online job.

Now, the thing is, not every employer can offer a work-from-home opportunity, so people who want to work from home are sometimes even considering a career change. If you’re a woman who’s in that kind of position, what you need is an online job that you can do from pretty much anywhere in the world.

An easy choice would be streaming on some of the best webcam sites because you can make a lot of money and you can enjoy freedom in your work. But not every woman is comfortable with that kind of job, so let’s take a look at a few alternatives. And not just any alternatives, but we’ve got three options that you can do all at once and maximize your income.

Do Makeup Tutorials

Many women find that doing makeup is something that they’ve learned how to do, and it’s become second nature. But you would be surprised at how many women actually aren’t all that comfortable with makeup, and either don’t try it at all, or they only do the most basic looks because they’re afraid of trying something more complicated.

Well, if you’re one of those who enjoy doing makeup, why not record some of your makeup styles and put them out there for other women to see? Sure, you might think that there are too many makeup artists that do this already. But how many times have you found that you’re going for a look that you can’t really find elsewhere? If that happens often to you, that’s what you need to be recording.

A good idea would be to start off with more basic looks that will attract plenty of viewers. This will ensure that you’ve got a good amount of people who are watching your videos before you dive into the more complicated things. But if you’re good at explaining things, you’ll notice that the number of viewers grows rapidly.

Not only will you be able to monetize your videos if they’re posted on a platform like YouTube, but if you start getting noticed, you will get offers for brand collaborations that get you money, and a good palette of products to choose from. And we aren’t talking about a small amount of money, either.

Start a Blog

The second thing you can be doing, and this is something we’d recommend that you do alongside your makeup tutorials, is to start a blog. A blog is not just an alternative to videos, but you can use it to supplement your videos because some people prefer to read than watch a video. Of course, we’re not saying you should only use your blog to spell out what you do in the videos – far from it.

Instead, use your blog to expand on the industry you’ve chosen for your videos. If you’re doing makeup tutorials as we mentioned, try to start a fashion blog where makeup will only be a part of what you post about. This shows your readers and followers that you know a lot more than just makeup looks, and it’s an additional source of income if you play your cards right.

The thing about having both a blog and a video platform channel is that you can use one to “send” people to the other, and vice versa. This way, both will grow alongside each other, and since they both represent you, so will your online presence.

And if you’re already considering starting both a makeup tutorial channel and a fashion blog, this third option will tie both together very well.

Learn Digital Marketing

Online marketing is all the rage nowadays, with brands and individuals investing massive amounts of money into establishing a strong online presence. If you’ve got a makeup channel, and a blog, learning digital marketing will not only allow you to make money by helping brands but will also show you what you should be doing with those two to maximize the income from both.

With digital marketing, you should start with the basics, and then it’s all about seeing what works and what doesn’t. No two target audiences are alike, so you’ll need to learn a lot and stay on top of things if you want to bring your clients (and yourself) metrics that make them happy, and bring a good income.

When you know what you’re doing, you’ll be able to improve the success of your channel and blog, and if you still need more income, you can put those digital marketing skills to use for brands and individuals that need help in that regard.
