How To Get Your Kids Ready For The Day Without Stress

by Maxanne

It’s the start of a new day and a new opportunity for your kids to seize the day. However, the mornings can often be a stressful time for a household, and getting them ready for the day can seem like more of an uphill struggle as a result.

Getting your children ready for the day, whether they’re heading to school or you’re going out for the day is something that shouldn’t be too difficult.

With that being said, here are some helpful tips to get your kids ready for the day without too much stress.

Incorporate a good sleep routine

Incorporating a good sleep routine when it comes to getting your kids ready for the day is a great way to make the most out of the following day. After all, your kids need a good night’s rest, especially when they’re younger.

Disrupting their sleep or not incorporating a time in which they should be going to bed every evening will often result in disgruntled kids the next morning. Lacking energy and moody is not something you want to start your kid’s day off feeling. Make sure that they’re getting at least several hours of sleep per night, the ideal being eight or nine.

Let them wake up naturally by opening up their blinds in the morning

In order to help them wake up naturally and with fewer tantrums, open up the blinds and give them a vocal prompt before leaving the room. Giving them five or ten minutes to wake up naturally and to move in their own time is important.

It’s better than charging in like a bull in a china shop and not putting them in the best mood when they’ve just woken up. A more gentle approach is likely to go down better so consider this method over the one you might be currently doing in order to wake your children up.

Pick comfortable and easy-to-dress clothing

To help with the process of getting them ready, make it easier on yourself by purchasing comfortable clothing. Clothing that’s easy to slip on and off is going to make life a lot easier for both you and your children.

For example, when it comes to footwear, opt for sandals instead of shoes with laces that are tight to get on in the first place! Look for clothing that’s going to be easy to get on without too much of a fuss.

Entice them out of bed with the smell of breakfast

One way of getting them out of bed in the morning is by enticing them with the delicious smell of breakfast. Whether that’s a bacon sandwich to eggs on toast, sometimes getting your children out of bed is easier when there’s something cooking for them in the oven.

Allocate additional time in the morning to make it more relaxed

Finally, in order to help make life easier for everyone, try to allocate more time in the morning. This will help everyone feel a lot more relaxed and less stressed when it comes to the amount of time they have.
