Motherhood is a journey filled with ups and downs. The happy moments are joyous as you get to watch your little one grow.

However, mothers seldom talk about the low moments, described as a roller coaster of emotions. Women who struggle with mental health also struggle with parenting, which can affect the children later on in life. In this article, we will discuss tips you can leverage to manage stress, anxiety, and depression as a mum.

Identify your triggers

One of the best ways to manage stress, anxiety, and depression is to get to the root of the problem. Certain factors such as a stressful job, an unsupportive spouse, or financial issues could trigger a bout of depression or a panic attack. Once you have successfully identified your triggers, you could work towards avoiding situations or people that trigger you.

Take a walk around the block

Juggling house chores while taking care of young kids can take its toll on you, especially if you are already struggling with your mental health. It would be wise to get someone to help you watch the kids and take some time away from the house. Take a walk around your neighborhood and give your body and mind time to relax and decompress.
