According to Hubspot research, businesses that include blogging in their marketing strategy are 13 times more likely to achieve positive outcomes for their brand. So if you are a business owner that does not have a blog, you are most likely getting left behind by your competitors.

With almost everyone using the internet to get information and buy products and services, businesses need to adapt to the online business model. And if you want to survive this shift, you will need to make your business stand out online and have a high rank in Google.

One way to have a consistent online presence is to have a well-curated blog.

Blogs Give Brands a Personality

If you want to tell people who you are and what products or services you want to sell, the fastest way would be to tell them your story.

And a blog is one of the best platforms to tell your story. Most consumers even prefer blog posts and articles when learning about a brand or business rather than other advertising materials.

Your brand’s personality can grow if you can consistently dish out excellent blog content because it can help build and strengthen your brand’s online presence. It’s also a non-invasive and friendly way to tell your consumers who you are and what you stand for. For example, if you are writing a blog about shoes, people will already know what your business is and what types of products you are selling.

Blogs Shows the Brand’s Human Side

A blog can become your brand’s voice to consumers and other people. That is why it has become a potent tool for business owners to connect with their customers. And the more you can connect to your customers, the more they will buy your products and services and become regulars.

A well-curated blog will make your brand more personal and not robotic.

In addition, your blog can also become the place where people search for answers, giving you more authority over your space. Authority can have various meanings for different people. But for eCommerce and other online businesses, it means:

  • People will go to you as a trusted source of information
  • People will ask you industry questions
  • Customers seek you out for common concerns
  • Industry news uses your brand as a reference

Blogging Attracts Attention

Brands can attract search engine crawlers through blogging. And when more traffic goes to your website, the higher the chance you will boost your revenue.

And one of the easiest ways to attract organic traffic is through search engine optimization. If you have search-engine-optimized content, like a blog, on your website that has value, you will naturally attract audiences.

In the beginning, people will rarely read your blog. But as time progresses, you will notice it will increase tenfold. This is called the plateau of latent potential.

For example, you could be an eCommerce store that sells mom essentials and likes to answer common questions about a mother’s experience. And you published a blog explaining why face wipes are essential and gave some product recommendations.

It’s most likely at first that your blog won’t do well. But as the years went by, people began searching for what face wipes to use for their babies and found your blog. You began to attract more people to your website and increased your revenue.

When done right, blogging can grow your business by making you an industry expert. It also helps your website rank higher in search engine results, especially if it has industry-related keywords.

Conclusion

A strong online presence is needed to stand out in today’s market. And one of the best ways to do it is through blogging. So if you know anyone who does not have a blog for their business, share this article with them.
