The “New Normal” has been trending in almost all the sectors, and across all industries, COVID-19 has had unprecedented effects on the whole world, leading to some of the most unorthodox solutions.

Officials around the world have resolved issues in many innovative ways depending upon the problems. One such dilemma was marriages, an occasion that is incomplete without large gatherings. We all know that the gathering at marriage is one of the major components of the event, where we get to see all our loved ones come out to grace the event and offer their blessings. This could however, not be done due to the virus. This was tackled by making certain amendments like allowing clerks to perform ceremonies via video conferencing and allowing couples to obtain their marriage license remotely.

What would one miss as a couple?

  1. Couples have to refrain from most of the prenuptial activities, the semblance of chaos during one of the most exciting times in one’s life, and all the other parts that bring together a typical wedding.
  2. Immersing in people’s throng, food, and sensory experiences is another blissful experience of marriages that couples will have to miss out on.
  3. The sounds, the laughter, the positive vibes, and the cacophony of the various activities pleasing our senses are also something that couples missed out on.
  4. While going for an online celebrant mariage civil service is what most people preferred, keeping in mind the health and safety norms, having the vows read out to you and answering “I DO” in person has a different and surreal experience to it than over a digital screen.

It is the people that make the difference!

Other than everything, perhaps the most noticeable thing that makes a difference to a wedding are the people gracing the event. It is these people that couples love to host and interact with during this auspicious occasion and if they are missing then it just doesn’t feel right. Most of the activities, the food, and other engagements like the music cater to the people that one wishes to have over during the wedding. People also become witnesses to this holy matrimony and share stories and present speeches about the couple that adds to the experience elevating it to another level.

Not the most important day of life?

Arguably it is the most important day in one’s life as we tie the knot with our life partner, somebody who promises to be with us through the thick and thin in life and will be there with us for the rest of our lives. How does one compromise with the ceremonies and activities that make this day as special as it is? The answer lies in innovation! While we cannot have the guests physically present, we can have them with us through technology connecting with everyone worldwide, without missing anyone. This way one can retain the essence of romance as they come together in the life-long commitment on the most important day in their lives.
