Nowadays, garage floors are spaces that add value to a property, especially when they are resurfaced with innovative and modern floorings.

Today’s post will introduce you to the five garage flooring designs that level up the aesthetics and performance of a busy floor.

1- Sustainable Garage Floors

The most trending styling option for garage floors is sustainable floorings. This trend, now becoming a movement, has been storming inside residential spaces like living rooms and other cozy spaces.

But now your garages can utilize sustainable floors too. One best example of this is epoxy floors. Local experts at garage floor coating Orlando observes a fascination from both homeowners and business owners for using this floor coating.

It is sustainable in that it extends the lifespan of flooring material like a concrete garage floor. Also, when you seal the concrete garage floors with epoxy, the cracks disappear, and instead of replacing damaged floors, you can resume them and revive them with epoxy coating.

Aside from epoxy, here are other garage flooring options to add style and appeal to the entire space:

  • Polished concrete floors
  • Eco-recycled garage tiles

Let’s talk more about them below:

  • Polished concrete floors

Concrete is undoubtedly an eco-friendly material, and you may add style to it by polishing the surface.

The outcome would be a glossy surface without using any chemically based coating. It keeps a plain concrete material but is decorated with a polished finish.

  • Eco-recycled garage tiles

As its name reveals, it is reused or repurposed garage tiles. Most of these are made of a polymer of vinyl materials that, after the tile becomes tattered and worn out, the physical structure of the material remain. So, the solution is to re-up them. You now got a 100% recycled vinyl garage floor tile.

2- Sleek garage floors

You can achieve a sleek-looking garage floor with resin coatings or clear coating. But first, you agave to resurface the floors with concrete if you have not had them yet. But the best part about these floor designs is that you are sure to have clean floors at all times despite the hardcore work that goes in the garage.

A polyurea-polyaspratic floor coating gives precisely this type of sleek, smart look on the floors. Unlock an epoxy that you can customize with different patterns and additives. The polyurea coating comes in a monolith look and neutral tone. However, it got a distinct look on it bright by its rigid yet subtle textured surface. Despite the feel of the solidified coated floor, it visually looks polished and smooth.

3- Choosing neutral colors

Another way to level up the look of the garage floor is to maintain a neutral color coding in it. Neutral colors you can use are:

  • Charcoal
  • Khaki
  • Silver
  • Silver-black-white combo
  • Ash grey

These color themes look great for blending with metallic items often found inside the garage. Also, it gives an innovative appeal that goes beyond an ordinary white base color to make a room look brighter and larger. Neutrals can do this as well.

4- Textured design

Previously you got introduced to vinyl tiles and epoxy coatings as materials suitable for garage spaces. Another way to create distinct garage floor designs is by utilizing their textures. Garage floor tiles world usually comes with specific patterns and textures, and tiles with a grid give a texture too.

Then, a flake-chip epoxy variant uses decorative chips to create a specific design on the surface. The flaked additives can be coarse or refined. Depending on what would fit the motif of our garage floor, you can choose and control the design elements that come with the chip epoxy flooring.

However, the textures are visual and would not necessarily create tactile patterns on the floorings.

5- Colored Tiles

There are garage tiles that you can get in various colors, and you can mix and match types of patterns as well. You can have stripes, checkers, diagonal steps, or rigid lines. Go to a local garage tile supplier, and find more options.

The secret is to be not afraid of combing patterns. Be playful as you can. Besides, the garage area is a place for your creative and active mind to work.

Conclusion

There you go! These are five garage floor options. Now that you have these various options, there would be any reason for you to leave the garage floors in a mess. Another perk you could get from the floors is that you can uplift its function and add value to the property when you maintain a sleek, polished-looking garage.
