You’ll never learn to cook if you never try. In this post, I’m sharing three super easy tips to get you on your way!

If there’s one skill you could develop and master, it would be the ability to cook. After all, you have to eat to survive. Since you have to eat every day, why not do it in style? When you can create delicious, healthy meals, this can change the quality of your palette and your life.

So many people associate wonderful memories with food. Think about all of the major celebrations you’ve attended. They all included food. Knowing this, consider these three tips to become a better cook.

1. Find online mentors.

It’s always nice to sit under the top chefs and learn from their examples. However, you might not have the access to them if you’re not a student in a culinary school. This doesn’t mean that you have to miss out though.

In fact, the best way to learn from others is through the use of the world wide web. Find online mentors and learn from them. Follow famous chefs on social media. Go to YouTube and find some amazing chefs that you can emulate. Pay attention to their techniques by watching their videos. As you learn and master different techniques, move on to other ones.

2. Play around with different spices.

Spices are amazing because they will easily and quickly transform a meal. If you’ve accidentally added too much lime to your guacamole, adding some cumin can balance out the flavor. As you learn the power of spices, it’ll empower you to expand your palate.

Find different spice companies in Florida to get started. Do your research on the spices to learn more about which dishes they’ll work well with.

3. Ask for feedback.

Start cooking for friends and family members. Ask for their genuine advice. Be open to improvement. However, it’s probably a good idea to pick people who won’t be really mean in their critique of your food. Choose people who you can trust because they have your back and want to see you become better at this skill.

Work on trying a new recipe each week or twice a month. As you slowly build your repertoire, you’ll become more confident in the kitchen and become a better cook.
