About The Berenstain Bears’ God Shows the Way
Faith Gets Us Through:
-The Bear Scouts are ready to earn their Cave Adventure Merit Badges. How will Scoutmaster Papa Bear help the cubs?
Do Not Fear, God Is Near:
-Sister Bear has overcome many fears like bugs, big dogs, and storms. But even with the reminder that God is always watching over her, there are some things that still scare the young cub. Will Sister remember to trust in God when something spooky startles her? Young readers will appreciate the lessons Sister Bear learns from Papa
Piggy Bank Blessings:
-Mama Bear thinks it is time to teach the cubs about saving money for something special. Even the Bible says each one of us should put aside some of our earnings! But will the cubs listen to Mama and scripture, or will they spend their money on things they do not need?
Our Thoughts
These stories were right in line with other Berenstain Bears books we’ve read and the illustrations were of the same high, consistent quality as is in the others. I love the family dynamic between Papa, Mama, Brother, and Sister bears.
I always enjoy sharing things with my kids that I enjoyed in my own childhood. My five year old daughter and I enjoy watching the Berenstain Bears on Sprout. We love singing the theme song together. I’ll have to admit that before reading this book series, I didn’t know that the Berenstain Bears were Christians.
Since my daughter has a few more years before she’ll grow out of this book, I’m happy that she’ll be able to read it on her own once she learns to read after starting Kindergarten in the Fall.
My favorite story of the three was “Piggy Bank Blessings.” As a mom who sometimes feel under-appreciated, it was nice to see the bears save up for something nice for Mama. I’d definitely recommend these books to others.
Disclosure: I received this book free from the publisher through the BookLook Bloggers book review bloggers program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
