9 Signs You Need to Ditch Your Undies

Perhaps you, like so many other women, have a drawer full of undies that should never see the light of day. Don’t you deserve better than underwear that is falling apart, uncomfortable, or discolored?

Underwear is so often an afterthought, but you should take a second look at what you’re putting on under your clothes. Here are nine signs you need to throw out your undies:

1. They Show Through Your Clothes

If your underwear gives you the dreaded VPL (that’s visible panty line, for the layman), it’s time to throw them out. With so many great no-show options out there, you don’t have to settle for underwear that keeps you tugging your shirt down to hide your butt. Instead, you can try an underwear subscription box of seamless underwear.

2. They Are See-Through (But Didn’t Use To Be)

Friction, sweat, and a few too many cycles through the washing machine can really wear fabric down. A transparent pair of undies can be sexy, but if your panties didn’t start that way, you should stop hanging on to them. Ditch them for an opaque pair or even a pair that are intentionally see-through.

3. They Embarrass You

If you’re undressing in the dark in front of your partner, you may need to invest in some better underwear. You shouldn’t be embarrassed by the state of your undergarments. With a new pair of panties, you’ll find yourself prancing around in just your undies with all the lights on.

4. They Make You Uncomfortable

You likely have a pair of gorgeous undies sitting in a drawer that you have never worn. Sure, that one pair is oh-so-cute, but if it’s uncomfortable, you’ll hate wearing it. There are tons of options out there that will allow you to express your fun, sexy style without sacrificing your comfort.

5. They Had One Too Many Visits From Aunt Flo

You probably have at least one pair of underwear that’s been through thick and thin with you, but if your period has left one too many stains, it may be time to say goodbye to your favorite pair. In the long run, it’s definitely worth investing in some underwear period pants, these are great as they provide comfort and durability to stop those constant purchases of new underwear.

That goes for other stains, as well. If you would be embarrassed to explain a stain to someone, that underwear shouldn’t take up any more room in your drawer.

6. They No Longer Fit

Underwear that digs into your skin is uncomfortable, unflattering, and unhealthy, and loose undies won’t provide the support you need. Don’t settle for old underwear that no longer fits your body. Do yourself a favor and find a pair made for your unique shape.

7. They Have Holes or Tears

Sure, you’d like to believe that your underwear has tears from one too many passionate nights, but you know it’s really from the friction between you and your jeans. Don’t hold on to panties with holes, tears, or rips. When those passionate nights do finally come along, give your partner something better to pull off.

8. They Constantly Ride Up

If you’re digging fabric out your butt crack multiple times a day, you’re wearing the wrong underwear. Whether you prefer a thong, brief, or boy short, your underwear should stay put through the whole day until you – or someone special – takes them off.

9. They Never Leave Your Underwear Drawer

Why are you allowing undies you never wear to take up valuable real estate in your underwear drawer? Regardless of the reason, unworn underwear needs to go. Ditch those panties for something you’ll actually want to wear.

Don’t get complacent about your old, worn, or uncomfortable underwear. If you don’t feel excited to put it on, that underwear is not the right pair for you.
