Packing right for a business trip is crucial. It feels like a vacation, but it’s not. You’re often limited on space and time, and if you travel a lot, being on the go 24/7 is exhausting.

But worry no more. We’ve compiled a list of essential items every woman should take with them on their business travels to guarantee a hazard-free excursion.

Keep reading to discover which items will make it into your bag, and which ones won’t.

1. Comfortable Bras

When traveling, you’re constantly on the go. Whether you’re walking loads, sitting in long meetings, or out for meals with colleagues, you’re always at attention when you’re on a work trip. That’s why it’s important you pack comfortable bras that guarantee your time is as comfortable as possible.

Many women prefer wearing a quality unlined bra not just in their day-to-day life, but specifically for work atmospheres. They eliminate issues that many regular bras have, like underwires digging into your body.  Being comfortable makes you feel confident – something that’s especially important during a work trip.

2. An Antibacterial Gel

There’s no better time to emphasize the importance of a germ-busting gel than in the post-pandemic era. You will be meeting lots of people as you travel and in your business meetings. You are bound to shake many hands. So it’s better to protect yourself in prospect.

Caution – be stealth when applying. You might offend an associate by soaking your fingers with gel right after a handshake. A 30-minute interval in between intense networking activities should be fine.

3. Pants, Shirts & Jacket

Some business circumstances may force you to be in strict business attire. However, most work functions require work-casual dressing. A nice pair of pants paired with a jacket and a shirt underneath will do. Jackets are especially useful in cold seasons and during summer since most conventions are held in air-conditioned rooms.

4. Two Pairs of Shoes

For a short stay, you still need at least two pairs of shoes. For an extended trip, carry more pairs.

The two pairs include one during formal dinners with clients and the other for walking during the day. Now, it’s advisable to carry flat shoes for normal daily activities. You can choose to carry medium heels for the night. If you intend to work out, remember to bring a pair of sneakers.

5. Workout Gear

Speaking of working out, don’t put aside your well-being while on a work trip. Remember to pack some gym clothes to continue your exercise routine at a hotel gym. You’ll thank yourself later for keeping up with your normal wellness routine despite being away from home.

6. Basic Toiletries

Toiletries include toothpaste, toothbrush, shampoo, deodorant, and any medication you might need during your trip.

Remember to include a hairbrush and dry shampoo to help make styling your hair as easy as possible. Of course, some of these items, especially liquids, need to meet airline safety requirements if you’re flying, so invest in carry-on-sized containers.

7. Business essentials

Last and possibly the most important are your business items. These include business essentials such as laptops, cellphones, earbuds, and charging accessories. While it seems sensible to remember to bring these items, many people have separate tech devices for work and leisure, so it’s important that you don’t accidentally bring the wrong devices.

Oh, and don’t forget your charging cords and portals. It’s wise to have an extra set of each just to be safe.

Conclusion

You certainly don’t want to pack too much stuff. Items you can find in hotels, like towels and pillows, should stay at home.

But we’re certain that if you keep this list handy, you’ll always pack the must-haves every time you’re jet-setting for work.
