It can be embarrassing to have stained teeth. Without the sparkle, you may feel awkward, unwilling to greet others often, feeling insecure about your facial appearance. If you’ve lost the luster that you desire, you can get it back. Adjust your habits, and ask for help. With some time and effort, you could shine bright.

1. Watch What You Eat and Drink

Even the healthiest eaters struggle with yellowish smiles. That’s because some of the wholesome goodness of your favorite snacks and drinks contain colors that simply infiltrate your pearly grin. Berries, for example, offer plenty of nutrition, but their blue and red dye seep into the enamel. Tomato sauce also adds flavor and high vitamin c, but it carries with it a lot of hue. Too much of a good thing without proper care could be problematic. Also watch your intake of fluids since tea, coffee, wine, soft drinks and sports drinks contain heavy pigment. For this reason, watch your intake and increase water.

2. Brush and Floss Regularly

Take time each morning and evening to scrub thoroughly, preferably using a toothpaste with a whitener. Baking soda, in fact, can work well as its active ingredients clean up stains nicely and could be used for some of those rough days. For example, say you drink three cups of coffee in the morning. Don’t let it sit all day. Head to the bathroom, carrying your dental bag. Okay, you may not love brushing your teeth out of the home, but it removes the brown blemishes. In addition, grab the floss sticks, and use them to attack the plaque buildup. If that lingers, teeth yellow. Removing it daily could avoid that discoloration. And if you need professional help, don’t hesitate to consult this Cosmetic dentist in Natomas for various dental treatments. Just be sure to do ample research beforehand on the different types of treatment options available as this will go a long way in helping you plan for the future; when you take into account the finances you’ll need and the time spent on such treatments. Not to mention that different treatment options offer different things so finding the one most suitable for you will be your best option. After that, focus on finding a reliable cosmetic dentist who can meet your every need and you’re good to go.

3. Invest in an At-Home Kit

Head to the local drug store and purchase a whitening system. These range in price and may take days to a week to take effect, but they’ll attack the gunk that’s accumulated over the past few weeks or months. Set aside time each day before bed to let the gel sit properly.

4. Get Professional Cleaning

Let the experts work with you. Places such as West Island dental clinic can review your bite, offering special services to eliminate the browns and improve the brightness. This can be done in a pleasant office setting with knowledgeable people who can keep you comfortable and happy.

Be proactive with your dental hygiene. With a healthy gum line and sparkly look, you may find yourself a bit more social.
