With every change we go through, our body keeps count, and the consequences are more than visible. In women, pregnancy especially takes a toll on the body as hormonal changes and changed physiognomy leave “ scars”, sometimes literal and sometimes visible on the skin. It can reduce our confidence and make us feel less wanted and desirable.

What if there was a way to reduce these effects? What if we told you that with the right treatment and a change of diet and habits, you could rejuvenate yourself? Read on, as we discuss methods and possible treatments you can try to make yourself look at least 10 years younger.

Peeling

The practice of peeling is so effective that even the ancient Romans used it. Other nations have well-established this practice and made it a part of their culture, and the effects are visible instantly.

The removal of dead skin cells is very important because it allows our skin to breathe freely and regenerate itself. It should be done once a week, both in summer and winter. In addition to removing the dead layer of skin, it refreshes it and prepares it for further care. There is a large selection of peeling masks and creams on the market, so you can easily choose one that is suitable for your skin. You can also prepare it yourself without losing quality. You can use sea salt, sugar, polenta, or semolina, which you will mix with olive oil. After peeling, be sure to apply the appropriate cream to hydrate the skin.

Wrinkle smoothers and botox treatments

Although botox has been in general use for over 3 decades, the controversy surrounding it still gets the attention of ordinary people. If done by professionals with years of experience, the side effects are almost nonexistent, and it helps reduce possible wrinkles. Also, the quality of botox has changed drastically over the decades, meaning you don’t have to worry about injecting anything hazardous into your body.

The most commonly used ones, besides botox, are Dysport and Xeomin, both having smothering effects on the skin, reducing any facial creases or lines, which are often the result of facial expressions and are almost inevitable. All these treatments are minimally invasive and the results are seen immediately.

Laser treatments

While we are on the topic, lasers have been widely applied in the industry due to their effectiveness and minimal side effects. It can be used to combat hyperpigmentation, wrinkles, lines, acne, surgical scars, skin laxity, or any damage done to the skin over time. The skin laser surgery goes deep into the inner layers of the skin, stimulating the production of collagen, which rejuvenates it and makes it more shiny and elastic. After the treatment, you might feel some swelling, maybe some redness, discomfort, and maybe flaking. But with the right hydrating cream and a better diet, they’ll vanish within the first few days, leaving you with glowing and stunning skin.

It is generally noninvasive, and with the right equipment, you can achieve outstanding results. The generally new appliance of lasers has been researched a lot, as until now it has mostly been used for the removal of tattoos or reducing pregnancy scars and stretch marks. Whatever the case or your needs might be, we strongly recommend looking into the various options available. Similar to these treatments, you can also treat acne, which some women experience during and post-pregnancy due to the change in hormone balance.

Massages and spa treatments

Together with the peeling, we strongly recommend getting a proper massage. It is best to do it immediately after cleansing the skin. We can do face and neck massages for ten minutes every day. After that, our skin will be taut and soft, and the signs of fatigue will disappear. It is important to note that during the massage, the skin should be well smeared with cream so as not to create resistance and thus achieve a counter-effect.

This allows a better flow of the blood, getting more nutrients and oxygen to our skin cells, which in turn means they work harder and more effectively on regenerating themselves.

Hydration and suncream

Together with a better diet and more physical exercise, UV light and other external factors can also influence the elasticity and freshness of the skin. Hydrating creams mostly have a soothing effect on the skin, while sunscreen has proven to reduce the aging process mostly caused by the sun’s UV rays.

If you add drinking a lot of water and vitamins C, E, and A, you’ll only contribute to the whole skincare routine, and it also has a soothing effect on the body as well. To all this, add some regular physical exercise and you’ll feel and look amazing throughout the day.
